Well done to India. You have secured a remarkably significant agreement with Europe, and you are strengthening your business ties with China, while also maintaining agreements with Russia and the USA. This is an example of how proactive and strategic nations can succeed.

I do wish that our own leaders would focus more on initiatives that genuinely benefit ordinary people, rather than directing so much energy and resources towards taming one true lion.

India's economic pragmatism and refusal to take sides (some may call it fencesitting) does infuriate everyone at various points of time but it's proven reasonably effective so far. No one may love us but almost everyone sees India as someone they can do business with.

I'm still nervous about it given Trump's sudden outbursts but I must admit the administration has danced on the edge of the knife pretty well so far.

To be fair, I think PM Modi got lucky here, this deal has been in the works for decades and was in stalemate. Credit here goes to Donald Trump for practically forcing the EU to sign this deal with India... This EU & India deal would boost Indian economy quite a bit in the years ahead if Indians can minimise the beauracracy and red tape...

The current high tariffs by the US has halted a major Chunk of India's export market (US) so to compensate India is reaching out to other countries with undervalued rupee for more exports. A strong rupee now would cause havoc on the Indian economy.

Reason PM wont agree to a free trade thats on the table with US is because: It would mean American goods flood into India, which will kill the lively hood of a lot Indian suppliers.

can you explain why the Indian rupee is the worst-performing Asian currency , how much it has weakened against the mighty Pakistani rupee in last 6 months , and for what reason this is yet another masterstroke by oaf Modi ?

Modi singing and dancing is a sight to burn my retinas so let's hope the video never surfaces.

Luckily for me, most of the internet either wilfully or mistakenly w seems to interpret 'doing a song and dance's rather literally.

It's pretty obvious Modi sent an envoy to praise and flatter Netanyahu in order to get an in with Trump. Shameful in it's own right but nowhere near as comedic as an actual musical performance.

Hah! I agree Netanyahu and Trump are pretty bad guys and in the former's case, actually evil but surely even their tastes aren't perverted enough to derive enjoyment from Modi singing and dancing.

Speaking as someone who's seen Caligula and made an effort to sit through 120 days of Sodom and is therefore vaguely familiar with the weird, dark crevices of the human psyche, I can't believe anyone would be masochistic enough to enjoy that.

Maybe they had it recorded to use as a torture mechanism on unsuspecting prisoners? I know I would confess to any crime to avoid seeing it on loop.
