Lahore Blues v Peshawar
Peshawar won the toss and elected to field

Islamabad v Faisalabad (day/night) 16:00 local time (11:00 GMT | 14:00 AST)

Good start for Blues - Ahmed & Imam opening....

Hafeez bhaia teen par aa gaye, or was he batting at 3 for other matches as well?

:fifty for Shehzad off 21 balls..

And he’s out the next ball...

I dont know where this sudden aggression came from. Lets hope he can continue it and replicate such innings at international level as well.

Hussain Talat is a refreshing change

Style, substance and aggression.

In today's game the one man who stood out for Lahore blues was the Peshawar bowler Imran Khan Sr.
I'm not kidding, his performance was way ahead of any Lahore player. What he did in the field/bowling was beyond horrendous it was unacceptable.

In first over of the match he dropped an easy catch of Imam ul Haq off Sohail Khan bowling, then Imran came onto bowl, looseners on length going leg or wide. Bowled 2 consecutive no balls which were huge, his foot landed far away from popping crease. Shehzad toook full advantage of Imran's pathetic bowling. His 2 no balls earned 8 runs and then the next ball [free hit] went for six. His first 2 overs went for 37. Then Imran stood at fine leg or deep square leg, gave away at least 2 boundaries, one went between his legs the other between his hands, the third he atttempt a dive a foot away from the ball passing. Altamash Jiwa [commentator] was almost yelling verbals like 'this is elementary stuff','unprofessional' etc..
Then Imran came to bowl same loose bowling thankfully the Lahore Blues batsman could'nt make the most of it, still he bowled 1 no balls and 2 wides in his second spell.

Imam ul Haq qas dropped twice in 2 overs and there was half chance given by him which fell one bounce before the fielder in the 3rd over. Shehzad made the most out of the sloppy cricket by Imran, played shots only on the leg side. As soon as spinner were brought into bowling, went back to his same self, hit a four and then mishit one for long off hoping imran is fielding there.

Lahore blues were 60 for 0 in 4 overs and managed only 112 in rest of 16 ovrs.

commentators were saying Shehzad should go on and score a century but he got out the very next ball.. his innings was made to look great by Imran Khan's bowling.. the best part was the interview he gave to sawera pasha.. that hard work always pays off etc etc.

Just pathetic

Sohail Khan just got caught on deep mid-wicket. On-field umpires first communicated with the microphone and then made the referral sign on camera to again communicate to the tv umpire to check whether the delivery was legitimate or not. No clip was shown to check the front foot landing and in few seconds the TV umpire gave it out without watching the clip. This is the fastest tv umpire decision as arranging clips eats 3 or minutes of the time.

Shame on PTV for this telecast, filled with double the staff but the quality of work is even behind networks operated from least fortunate nations like Maldives.

Excellent debut by Ali Shafiq

One of three best pacers in the country...should play next year's emerging cup in Pakistan.

If that club level trundler is even in the top 20 pacers going around in Pakistan then we truly are in a dire state.

Whatta player Sohaib Maqsood is,

his hits for six seem so effortless. Thats why he is compared w/ Inzamam he has so much time to play shots , great talent. His hit off Rahat Ali for six over cover is the shot of the tournament.
Farhan has such a superb hand-eye coordination he does'nt need footwork, watched a Greatbatch shot after a long time, hit off deep backward point for a six.
A very good game after the pathetic first game b/w Peshawar & Lahore blues.
Feeling nostalgic, with Jayasuriya[FArhan] and Inzamam [Sohaib MAqsood] batting together.
Irfan/Gul bowling exceptonally well, with Farhan/Maqsood playing top notch cricket.

its good that no one picked nauman anwar he is been awful for last 2 seasons

[MENTION=133760]Abdullah719[/MENTION] who are the highest scorers of this tourney so far?

Tuned in to see what the hype about Saad Ali is all about

Even better straight drive... looks good this kid

Took eyes of the ball while hooking against a military medium trundler.... might have typical Pakistani issues against short ball

Good to see Agha Salman finally get a game. Looks like he did pretty well. Anyone see him bat/bowl?

This bowling partnership could have been Pakistan's test premier partnership if things had worked out differently...

Shah and Ajju bowling together wow wow wow :raja

Shah gets another... hitting the ball across the line when you are not picking it is a recipe for disaster

Sarmad Bhatti is still around :danish

Our domestics is a watering hole for all the TTFs with just a couple promising names here or there

Saad seems more of a nudger than a blaster

This is what I said to you in his thread.

Should be picked for tests, not LOIs for now.

Looks like I'm watching test match with Azhar Ali and Misbah ul Haq batting at 1 rpo.... so boring

He's actually made a couple of good starts this season, just hasn't pressed on. Just needs one big innings.

Farhan is batting slow

I have covered this in my post on his thread:

I have mentioned above he has some work to do, but his thirst for runs across all three formats is very impressive. His consistency issues in FC cricket doesn't seem to exist in the shorter formats.

One thing to make clear is he is not a Brendon McCullum/David Warner/Nauman Anwar type opener who looks to score sixes from ball one. However, he he rotates the strike early on and looks to score one boundary an over. In t20 he ensures his strike-rate is no lower than 110-115 for the first part of his innings and then once the platform is set he accelerates quickly to lift his S/R to between 130-150+. Played a mature knock today to help set the stage for an excellent chase by Faisalabad.

Worth noting both these fifties came in successful chases which shows he paced his innings well and read the game situation well.

Are the commentators even watching the game?

Batsman is clean bowled and they say it is a dot ball.

What garbage commentary... Gul was clearly bowled and both commentators say its a dot delivery and then cameraman shows closeup of stumps with bails removed and both commentators then say he is bowled with surprise in their voices

I could tell he was bowled through my crappy stream :danish

Saad bringing it close.

3 off 3 needed.

Anyone who knows how to stream it live as an international viewer...PTV Sports is only streaming live in Pakistan.

Saad goes for a wild swing and is bowled by a slower ball. Unnecessary.

Anyone noticing how most batsmen in the tournament are getting out right after getting to a fifty... perhaps the batsmen relax after getting to a milestone

Faisalabad finally defeated, Islamabad chasing an easy total lost most of their side on this pitch even after pathetic fielding from Faisalabad. No intent shown of stopping singles and it was misfield galore. Today watched a really disheartening minus 1st innings of FAisalabad v Islamabad, both fought hard and Islamabad bowled well to restrict them. Rest of the 3 innings were awful, seeing the 80s era fielding with fielders not even sliding, stopping the bowl from their foot on the boundary. It felt hey have holes n their hands the way bowl was slipping from their grip, FAheem AShraf was also fielding very ordinarily.

It was good to see Saad Ali finally bat, touch player who relies on timing, no bottom hand hitting game not a T20 standard player, knows how to smartly builds innings. But did'nt take the charge which is something I look into batsmen more than their technique. Relied on others to do the hitting.
Saad should've finished the game early, very Babar Azam-esque kind of an innings, almost lost his team the match. Taj Wali has an impressive slow ball, should've had more pace.

Faisalabad wasted a good platform- should have batted Islamabad out of the game.
