Anybody remember Fazl-e-Akbar from Peshawar? He was an amazing talent and used to eat domestic batsmen alive but don't why he didn't clicked at international level maybe we should have given him a couple of more matches than just 2 ODIs and 5 Tests.
He got 600 wickets in his 13 years FC career at an average of 21 and stopped playing domestic cricket at the age of 28/29 i think that's because he thought he is no more going to have any chance of getting selected again in national team? or maybe he was seriously injured? Never seen him in media all these years
I faced him once in the nets back in early 2000's when I used to play club cricket. He is one of the most popular names in Peshawar cricket, but never delivered at the international level sadly.
I have heard he's a tablighi now. He stopped playing domestic cricket when he was still in his prime because he had lost hope of playing international cricket.
Yup. Fazl-e-Akbar bhai nowadays. Masha'Allah.

Who is the current coach of Pesh? I remember Wasti used to coach them a couple of years ago. The best thing about Peshawar is they come up with a game plan and everyone try to contribute instead of hijacking big guns from other regions.
Can anybody tell me at what speed is amad butt bowling???

Was expecting Peshawar to chase this but not so easily. Sialkot's bowling looks pretty weak whereas Peshawar seems to be a very strong unit. Should be a good final as long as Karachi does not put on their usual choking display.

Some guy called Abdur Rehman. Shoaib malik praised him a few days ago on an interview with Dr Nauman Niaz.

Looks like some foreigners attended the match today it's good to see foreigners in Pakistani stadium watching a domestic match. (credit goes to Mazhar Arshad for this pic)

The seating arrangement is like the one you'd find at a wedding. Looks unprofessional and not sporty at all.
We're still a paindu country.
That wasn't good at all but tbh can't blame PCB 6 years of no international cricket so you can't expect PCB to invest a lot at grounds specially in grounds like Rawalpindi otherwise they did some work on Wadafi stadium before ZIm tour.
Dr Nuaman Niaz giving it back to Geo Super in post match analysis![]()
he is getting annoying. whats the issue b.w geo super and them anyway.
he was saying sth abt them during match commentary yesterday too

Geo Super was daily criticizing PTV Sport for the coverage quality, commentary and other stuff of this tournament by inviting people to sit on their channel and bash PTV Sports daily in their 10 pm to 12 am program and it got to a point where it was hard for Nauman Niaz to control.
Geo Super crossed all the limits TBH but i think that's because there is nothing left for Geo Super to show on their channel so they are getting frustrated they got no more money to beat PTV Sports and Ten Sports when it comes to getting TV rights for any Pakistan home/away series and than PTV Sports also started getting rights for domestic cricket and Ramadan T0 tourneys from last 2 years so Geo Super is only going down every day by showing highlights of old matches from past. They can't even beat PTV and Ten Sports when it comes to getting the rights of The Ashes and other major team series not involving pakistan, CLT20, Tennis Grand Slams, Football leagues, Olympics and other major sports events.
Future looks dark for Geo Super and i guess the only thing left for them is IPL because PTV as a govt channel will never go for the TV rights of IPL.

Or maybe we have that bad habit of hyping u-19 players.
He was a great bowler . I will place him in top 3 along with amir and Asif in last 17 years .
He used to bowl outswingers like steyn at 90+mph that is why he has got great average and strike rate . And keep it in mind that when he played domestic cricket in those days pitches weren't as conducive for seamers as like last 5,6 years . Otherwise he would have got ab average like Sadaf hussain and strike rate of 32 .
I would never call him international failure . He was given very less oppurtunities and when he got his chance he got it very late by than he had lost pace .
He was very very similar to waqar younis as a bowler . But he lost pace early like waqar . Don't know whether he too suffered injury or what ? He had a peak of 5 years . Where he was fast and very devastating bowler with weapon of late swing but at that time he was not selected as we had waqar , wasim , mohammad akram , shabbir Ahmed , shoaib akhtar , razzaq , azhar mahmood . So he was unlucky not to get a chance in his peak when no domestic batsman could last longer infront of him . I won't like to say but he was such a good bowler that a group of 3 bowlers were so insecure and so powerful at the time thay they did not let him get into the team even if they got unfit . The selectors were mere puppets and players were very powerful .
If you select waqar younis in 1997 he won't be even 40 % of the waqar he was from 1990 to 1995 . Same with Fazal e akbar he was selected when his great days were behind him . And still given very few oppurtunities .
I give you an example . Asif was selected for Australian tour made his debut and was dropped . Then against visiting England team 2 years later at Bagh e Jinnah there was a practice game and somebody else had to play but got injured at last moment and somebody had to play they only had Asif around and he played took 9 wickets in that game came in limelight again and was selected never looked back . So players need a break-inn an oppurtunity when in their peak . Had Asif not played that Bagh e Jinnah game he may still be struggling in domestic cricket like sadaf etc .
Fazl e Akbar was very unlucky .

Another sad story from our domestic cricket and i did heard this insecure story of our great bowlers before too from someone who worked with PCB that they used their power to keep Fazl-e-Akbar away from national team.
Yea Asif was lucky that he clicked in second chance otherwise in our team you don't get a chance easily no matter how great you perform but you need those links inside PCB.
I also heard stories of Kabir Khan performing better than Wasim most of the times in domestic matches where both left arm played together.
