were you watching the same game as I was. Looked very assured o his off stump possibly the best I have seen of a Pakistani opener in a long time and seems like he is now making a conscious effort to not play the ball around his front pad which shows he knows his weakness and he is working on it. Another thing I noticed is how late he plays the fast bowlers which is also an encouraging sign. I agree he is not a pretty batsman and has limited scoring areas but that does not equate bad technique. IMO he looks more ready then Babar who has the ability to play some amazing strokes yet his defensive game needs some working on.

He doesnt have Much Talent, he is quite overrated

which Pak batsman does well vs the moving ball. He is a grafter will never look fluent at the crease his batting vs Yasir was good he has couple of scoring areas vs spin and he kept peppering Yasir their. His off stump judgement was excellent you are a hater if you don't rate his knock yesterday.

His yesterday's knock was decent but against an average attack on a dead pitch where even tailenders have been hard to dismiss, I rate Babar's 200 in silver final much better and Babar has shown it that he can do good against International standard bowlers in A-team matches. I dont rate Sami as a good enough batsman to succeed against International teams.

FFS he is 19 not everyone is a prodigy. Yesterday from what I saw him he looked much better when what he was a year ago which shows to me he is developing and is a work in progress

He should have declared when Raza got to 100

You never know teams can collapse in 30 odd overs, MAtch would still have ended in a draw, NBP should have atleast tried to go for the win

haha... he was batting with Fawad yesterday and he looked like Rahul Dravid when compared to Fawad. Sami is not a stylist but he has an orthodox stance and technique when compared to Fawad or Chandrs,.

Ok. I too had issues rating him before yesterday I saw noticeable improvements in his technique yesterday and I am quite confident he will make the grade up.

Yes, but Fawad has always been an 'all rounder' so not suprised he gets a few overs in and he will take wickets here and there. 2 of those were tail enders too.
