I was unable to watch after the intro for some reason. Wanted to watch something uplifting. Will watch Enola Holmes 2. Will probably be some good mindless fun. Why do my recent posts have so many grammatical errors? I guess I change the sentence midway.
I watched Smile. It was so similar to It Follows and I found the latter to be better made as well.
I actually enjoyed the first Enola movie it was really good and nice change of scenery lol let me know if the second is as good
And with Curiosities, ignore the intro, it’s the creator just giving a bit of a prologue and tbh not required, the episodes themselves have been great, nice casual horror, so far doesn’t reinvent the wheel but execution is sound and will force you to watch with your hands covered at times to.
Finished watching I Am Vanessa Guillen
Really interesting this. Very good but sad to watch.
Vanessa Guillen was 20 years old when she was found murdered at a US Army base. Rather than submit to silence, her family fought for justice and change.
1899 is outstanding, another gem from the creators of Dark. I really enjoyed the finishing stretch, never quiet saw the mystery unravelling to that extent. There may be potential for more but this season alone was a lot off fun, especially if you love suspense and atmosphere. The cinematography utilised was very innovative, there is also a documentary on the production. There are instances where the pace slows down but this allows you to learn a bit about the multinationals onboard the Prometheus so I didn’t mind it, both Maura and Eyk (Older Jonas from Dark) were fantastic castings and their performances were excellent
i enjoyed dark a lot more, for some reason i couldn't get into 1899's characters, story or pacing, found myself distracted by random things, rather than hooked into the story.
its been so long since I've seen something good on Netflix I'm thinking of canning the subscription.
Someone recommend me a good crime show that isn't multiple seasons please.
Hinterland on the BBC iplayer (each episode is a different story but same characters, setting etc) it use to be on netflix but not anymore.
Mind-hunter is very good but its 2 seasons, I really recommend that though
Not seen many single season shows tbh but one came out a while back which I am yet to see, The Chest Nut Man, single season and the reviews seemed positive
I enjoyed Dark more to but the two I’d say are different types of show. Yes, the pacing can be off at times, it is better when you binge watch it.
Netflix and their originals have defo lacked, they’ve also made cute and reduced their budget following subscriber loss. They’ve also lost Mike Flanagan to Amazon Prime who gave us Midnight Mass, Haunting of Hill House / Bly Manor and other great original content.
Apple have stepped up with their library as well.
I keep mine for the stuff beyond the originals which have good replay value, Breaking Bad, some of the old school casual comedies etc
I look forward to Vikings Valhalla s2 though and I think Flanagan got one last original on Netflix coming out before he departs which should be good (Fall of the House Usher I think)
slow horses and severance on apple are two of my recent best watches.
Severance is just unreal, whoever thought of the premise is a genius! that is my favourite show from 2022. Have you also seen Servant on Apple? one of the best horror dramas around.
How highly do you rate Slow Horses? it’s a thriller right, I will add that to my list.
Actually, another show I recommend for anyone with Apple TV is Black Bird, single season and another crime show with a single season, it is based on a true story and the fella who plays the alleged killer is incredible The_KING

slow horses has heavy overtones of British humour, i like it, one of the few shows that makes me laugh, gary oldman kills his role. balances seriousness with irreverence really well.
Slow Horses (Apple TV) is quite outstanding.
They could've used a Muslim actor for one of the main characters but that's just cultural appropriation nowadays

Hmm, got an Apple conscription but never actually watched a show on it. Now I'm thinking I have to check it out, especially since they are streamed in 4K if I'm not mistaken.
Clarksons Farm
Jeremey is hilarious! Fascinating show with great real life characters along with great learning information. Not to mention the beautiful English countryside!
10/10 - must watch.
Looking for to that 90s show, which is suppose to be available on Jan 19th, being a fan of thats 70 show, I feel like it will be a great sequel

Defo check it out, so many great original shows:
Severance - When at work, you don’t remember your life on the outside, a sci-fi psychological thriller
Ted Laso - Comedy/Drama, American footy coach takes over a PL/Championship English footy club
Slow horses - British spy thriller Gary Oldman
Black Bird - Based on a true story about suspected serial killer Larry Hall, crime drama
Servant - Psychological horror by Shymalan and also stars Rupert Grint, story revolves around a nanny who is hired to look after a baby which leads to some weird events
Yeah, waiting for that too hopefully its better than other reboots.
There is a show on hulu which is a show about how reboots called “Reboot” funny as hell.
I am hoping the reboot for that 90s show will be good, i am confident it will
The only reboot show I know of is animated show from the 90s haha. It was really big here in Canada.
corner Gas had a funny reboot animated as well, it’s my fav Canadian show(original).
Full House, Thats so Raven, Saved by the bell,Boy meets world all rebooted and many on the way..
Corner Gas very good

Yeah its my fav comfort show along with Psych , I rewatch them when I just want easy viewing.
Amazon?![]()
Just Finished watching Fightland, a 5 episode documentary, about fighting styles, cultures from across the globe.
Really enjoyed the episodes from Burma, and Senegal, really learned a lot of cool things from it.
Mythic Quest is decent as is The Morning Show.
Sky have first season of Slow Horses free.
All the stuff them three produce is class. Richard Hammond's Big and James May has a hundred of his own.
Started Archive 81 on Netflix recently, just watched the first episode and a half and it's a very intriguing premise. Just seems a bit slow, not sure I can sit through 8 hours of this
I enjoyed it a great deal, they pick up the pace well, it’s a bit of a slow burner but they have more than enough reveals along the way, if you don’t mind the foreshadowing I think it’s a great watch. I found out later that it is based on a podcast series of the same name which I have not checked out yet though
Finished off the hook
Its a show from France, about 2 girls who decide to give up their phones, for 1 month, do not know if it is something I would recommend to other people but was a decent watch.
Yup..quite funny. The French shows are class.
10 percent Amazon is based on Call My Agent
It seems like Jeremy is being cancelled on Amazon because of what he wrote about Harry and Meghan. What a joke of a woke land we live in.
I am sad because I will miss the three idiots and Clarkson’s Farm. But we don’t tolerate misogynistic hate speech.
What you term “woke” also protects you from racial and Islamophobic hate.
Finished that 90s show, sequel to thats 70 shows,
This reboot is amazing, it stays true to the show, old characters make returns, loved the fact that eric and donna kid is staying with her grandparents (red and kitty) for the summer, in the same iconic home, and chilling with her friends in the same iconic basement.
Its a must watch indeed for anyone who loved thats 70 show![]()
Hilarious but the young cast needs to improve.. some of them are not that great probably because they are really of that age.
Rave episode is my fav. Kitty and Red as usual are amazing, feel they have gotten even better!
It was so nostalgic, some good and some really annoying stuff about the show.
That 70s show is one I adore. I grew up on it. I have watched it 6-7 times from start to finish.
But I wanted the show to be about the old characters living in 90s plus all the cultural references and stuff. I wanted Kelso,Jackie,Eric,Donna,Fez,Leo,Red,Kitty to interact together and be in the same scenes.
It seemed liked a rehash of the original formula while changing 70s to 90s and recycling the roles and give it to actors who were visibly not as good or funny enough for that. The only new cast member I liked was Leia. And Jay to an extent. Gwen was such a bad attempt at recreating Hyde and she simply wasn't good at it. Nate simply wasn't funny or dumb as Kelso. And god Ozzie, he was meant to be the new Fez yet he turned out to be as annoying as Angie (Hyde's weird sister from season 7)
That 70s show was never about the quality of script, it was about how the cast made it feel real and funny and their chemistry and timing.
Like seriously there was nothing funny about "there is a car that runs on water man", yet it made me laugh every single time.
I loved the last episode cause Fez had an extended time in it and he actually made it whole lot enjoyable without really doing much.
I didn’t like Leia and Gwen.. I was ok with others but you are right on trying to recreate the same characters , imo that was silly they were bound to fall into a pit doing that, they should had gone for new characters.
I thought Leo was amazing this season though , also you got to see that these guys are actually teenagers man, the entire cast of young characters in the original were in 20s except Mila..they all had experience in acting, it’s really unfair to be compared to them.
Regarding Leia, I meant she was the only one who seemed like a character that actually belonged in That 70s universe. Others all seemed like misfits. Maybe because she acted the best amongst them.
Leo had 2 or 3 scenes really. Plus no interaction with Red, or even Fez.
As far as I know from the original cast, it was the first acting role for Topher, Laura, Ashton and Wilmer. Only Danny Masterson and Mila Kunis had acted in some capacity before. The fun fact about Wilmer is that he had actually started learning English around the same time the show began filming or maybe 1 or 2 years earlier.
Think they actually hit a jackpot back then with the original cast (Topher and Mila are really good actors IMO overall) and Ashton, Danny and wilmer made the roles their own. Laura always felt like an outlier to me. Was good for show's story but was the least funny one or the least actor of them all.
Budget or time constraints might have been the problem for 90s show. Or they just didn't try to find better actors or stuff.
Tried to watch an Action Hero. What a terrible movie. All of Ayushman K movies were flop recently. He is done as an actor.
That is true on jackpot with the cast, and majority good shows that usually happens.
Also they risked way more back then making 70s show which back then was only 22 years after 1976..90s show is actually 28 years after 1995..
But i’ll still watch it for Kitty and Red , I doubt Kelso and Jackie will come back..one reasonable critique has also been that it gives a disney reboot feeling which is unfortunate.
I do recommend “reboot” tv show on hulu.. its on reboots lol.
You can go to imdb and filter by 1/2 star rating reviews. The first few mins were good but then it fell apart and started becoming illogical and absurd.Huh? What didn’t you like about the movie? It was actually one of his good ones.
Please atleast detail the faults..
Finished watching White Gold, a British sitcom regarding 3 window salesman from Essex, although a comedy show, it also is very interesting watch, with a lot of twist and turns, I would recommend it strongly, really enjoyed watching it, not a family show, but a great watch regardless, I basically binged watched it, on my day off, and glad I did. I have to say some of the british shows from Netflix are really solid.
Also finished the new season of Upshaws, was fun watch, but preferred the previous seasons.
White Gold was on BBC
