Nawaz is a nothing bat,he should never be part of squad again
Overall his T 20 record is also awful.

So these two are the best openers from Pakistan domestic scene? These two don't have good record in any format in domestic cricket. No wonder Pakistan struggle overseas against even decent bowling attacks.
 
Hassan Nawaz just too raw & undercooked at the moment. I think he's a talented player but international level a bit too early for him.

This is why it's important to have multiple domestic seasons and numerous seasons where you pile up tons of runs. Really think the steps to international for a white ball player should be to have multiple top domestic seasons + performances in PSL before getting the call up for international level.
 
Youngsters like Khawaja Nafay should be picked instead. At least they play proper Cricket and have high potential

Haris has already surpassed Rizwan in this innings

2nd category is missing in Pakistan line up.
 
Ideally these guys should have opened vs NZ SA C teams that were travelling Pakistan but instead RizBar were given chance to statpad.

I'm not sure on what basis Hasan Nawaz has been selected, he doesntseem to have much of a reccord

The boundaries hit by Haris so far in this game shows why Pakistan is struggling in White ball format. Either they have Rizwan/Babar who suck all the momentum out of the game or have hacks like Haris and Nawaz.

Yes but if given the option I would take hacks who will at least not cause constipation to spectators.
 
Salman Ali has to play well outside his comfort zone to be effective in T20. He may click one or twice like Rahane does. Heck Rahane is way better than Salman in T20.

the way salman came down the hit duffy over the covers was smart and he did it with a lot of control
 
They are just throwing wickets . Absolutely no need for that . Don’t know what they have been told to do . Intent and foolishness are different things

M haris in particular should be dropped now.
 
These guys can't play anything over knee height. And this guy's replacement is Usman Khan 😂

Then you have the captain Salman Agha who has a T20 average of 19 at a SR of 115 coming in at number 3. His T20I record is even worse, average of 11 at sr of 81
 
Run rate is under 5 with all the swishing swashing. They have to understand why this method is being encouraged. That is to score runs.
 
I do wonder what goes in the mind of selectors. They pick low bounce preferring players to New Zealand and Australia.
 
Having my Sehri (suhoor) while watching these wild swings from these players. Honestly you could have just given green shirts to some random Pakistanis living in NZ an let them represent Pakistan.

And while typing this finally a great cricketing shot for a six.
 
Have never seen NZ pitches with this level of pace, bounce, swing, seam before. Not surprised to see our batters in distress. Dumb Shaheen will still bowl 6 consecutive in swinging yorkers with the new ball on this wicket forgetting the wicket is offering pace and bounce.

1 six. 6 runs in 6 balls. Story of paksitan aggression. Attitude is fine. Dropping of Rizbar fine. But are these proper stroke players? Real agricultural so far
 
Good intent from Pakistan today. We need to persist with this approach and results will come.
 
Salman is looking good today, looking very classy and confident
 
Luckily for Pakistan NZ is experimenting and have inexperienced bowling attack. I am wondering how these batters would have performed if Matt Henry, Rourke, Santner and Jamieson had played together.
 
I think Salman is a fighter . He needs more experience as captain . Need to be patient with him . Rather than going for Shadab . Stick with him . He has played some solid match saving test innings and shown intent always . That shows his mindset
