New Zealand (243/5) defeat Pakistan (242) comfortably by 5 wickets in the final of Tri-Nation ODI series

I do not understand why Pakistan management is so much averse to the idea of playing proper spinners , they keep on playing part timers , who with bat also contribute nothing

Khushdil was asking for a review but he’s not in that senior mates group of Rizwan, Babar, Naseem, Shaheen and Agha so he can’t have a free buffet review unfortunately

NewZealand looking very strong going into CT. So only one from India or Pakistan will qualify into semi finals from Group A.

Pakistan win v NZ (2 points Pakistan)

NZ win v India (2 points NZ)

All 3 teams beat Bangladesh (NZ and Pak 4 points, India 2)

The India v Pakistan game will have a lot riding on it with nrr also in play

pak is no way gonna beat nz

Basically my analysis is the same from the first innings and I told @Nikhil_cric this as well.

Pitch is slow but outfield is lighting fast. If you use your feet to nullify the fact that the ball doesn't come on to you, you'll thrive on this pitch.

Staying back at the crease and trying to backfoot everything is suicide on this pitch.

The low bounce effectively means playing late cuts, or standing back for cover drives or Lofts is impossible.

That's why agha has been very good at this pitch, he uses his feet albeit only against spinners.

Told you chase is not going to be straightforward.

Pak spinners are bowling too quick. It's a slow pitch, you need to vary your pace for the ball to grip in the surface. We saw it with the Williamson dismissal. That ball was bowled at around 80 kph.

How about this -

India beat Pakistan, Bangladesh and nz - 6 point

NZ beat Pakistan and Bangladesh - 4 point

Bangladesh- Pak - no one care

This tri series has been GREAT practice for Team Pakistan, NZ , South Africa.

For Pakistan to play 2 back to back close matches before entering the tournament as hosts, there could have been no better practice.

Let’s be honest, doesn’t matter much who wins the final today. Both teams have gained great experience ahead of the important tournament.

@Cpt. Rishwat @DeadlyVenom @Rana @Major @BouncerGuy @The Bald Eagle

Frankly speaking, we smashed the English 3-0, but we gained NOTHING from that series experience wise. No closely fought match, no pressure. Nothing. It’s been a wastage of time for us rather. I am envious.

Maybe I am being disrespectful to Bangladesh but surely they fancy their own chances against Pakistan having schooled them in Tests on Roads?

Sana has an issue with Conway’s sr but she had no issues with Rizwan 12 off 50

Yes , if they bat well enough to get decent score , they can cause problems.

Pakistan needs to get 3 wickets in next 35 runs to make this chase interesting one

BD have a fundamental issue they lack power. This is why they struggle to bowl fast and force the pace with the bat in LOI which entails hitting big sixes/boundaries. Spin webs will not work in Pak not on what we are likely to see in CT anyway.

Not sure why they dropped Litton Das. He does well against India and Pakistan.

See Rizwan just throwing the ball needlessly at the stumps? Isn’t that disrupting the equipment? He does this nonsense all the time!

Conway developed his spin game with CSK on turning chepauk track. When in form he wouldntoy with spinners

Pakistan should be looking to win against them , apart from that they have to win against one other team , not easy to get to semis.

Conway was in poor form the last time I remember in Pakistan but he’s looking a lot more comfortable at the crease now.

In 2022 T20 I series , NSK produced the slowest, lowest bouncing pitch in T20I history based on ball tracking evidence .

This looks like it's progressing in that direction

I have seen recently from many Pakistani posters that they gives excuses after a loss. For example: after being whitewashed to Bangladesh they have been saying that that was roads, that win by Bangladesh was a fluke etc etc. waiting to see what excuses coming up if they loose today..

Bro we beat Aus in Aus and SA in SA, no one cares about a meaningless tri series which is a warm up for CT.
