His approach was right. No point in sticking around when its swinging like that. He just lack skills to attack on a pitch like this. No one in Pakistan can apart form Fakhar.
 
Everyone wanted rizbar out because we think we can compete with the way other nations play. We literally dont have anyone that can score other than those two. I wouldn’t be upset with taking one of them out but to completely take both out. We deserve this

It’s not about skill but common sense , if you don’t have the technique to play swing bowling with high bounce then show all three stumps to the bowler and try to flick the ball on the leg side or just bat deep in to the crease and use the bounce and movement to upper cut the ball in to 3rd man area , you don’t need skill but need brain to do that and if you get out doing that then so be it but at least don’t let them bowl test match line and length. Pak batters are giving them free wickets.
 
Omg after 82 t20s, salman agha, our new captain has an average below 19 and a SR under 118. So much for fearless cricket

I wouldn't say the team is missing RizBar.

I think they're missing Fakhar + Saim here. That would add more balance to the top order to let these newer guys do a better job.

But it's early days and patience is key.

Babar and Rizwan ? Next WC is in India-Sri and not on a green top at Christchurch.
 
Its the same cycle over and over again :

- Poor Performance in an ICC event.
- A completely new Squad for the next series.
- One bad series and back to the old team.
- Repeat steps 1-3 over and over again.

This is why we need better management before we need better players. There is a reason you make 2-3 changes at a time. Cant expect a completely raw team to do well in such tricky conditions.

As for the people who felt that Babar and Rizwan were the problem, watch us go back to the glory days of 1-4 and similar scores on a consistent basis. The problem was never Babar/Rizwan, It was the fact that we just don't have the talent pool, we just don't have the players who have the guts to take it to the next level.

As much as I hate to say this I still hope they stick with this squad for a while so that maybe one of these players can build onto something and maybe grow into a proper batsman.
 
This is a testament on how bad the domestic structure of Pakistan cricket is which would take decades to even make any changes.

Zero technique and aptitude to read the conditions and see what the pitch is doing.

Zero game awareness even at this level by some who've played over 100+ intl games is even beyond shocking.

And have u look at the domestic T20 cup , the match between Larkana vs Karachi blues ytd is like worse than gully cricket....

Best way to deal with this is to make room and try to cut it over point. But that is easier said than done. Hardest thing to deal with as a batsman is extra bounce and there is plenty of that in this wicket. Very hard for a sub continent batsman that has poor technique.
 
Pakistan needs to start playing Associate nations. Give them some tough competition!

Was gonna give him the benefit of the doubt as I assumed he was some talented teen who hadn’t racked up that many matches. But the bloke is 28 soon. Deary me what a pathetic selection.

It’s easy , just don’t let them bowl test match length by any means do something which bowler is not thinking of and off put his line so that he starts bowling in to the stump and then you can flick it
 
Last time we brough tuk tuks in Riz-Babar and NZ prepared phatta wickets to beat us 4-0. Now that we have brought some tullaybaaz, they gave us this. Kiwis are smart.

Nawaz tried come down and put the bowler under pressure. I don't mind that approach at all tbh, doesn't always work, but at least he tried
 
The only batsman that averages over 24 in our top 4 in t20s is irfan khan. Let that sink in

Exactly either bat outside the crease or bat deep or take a guard at 6th stump and expose all 3 stumps , this is a better way to off put the test match length, if you keep batting traditionally and keep poking at the deliveries you will eventually get out on this pitch.
 
Floor sweep only works on sub continent wickets. Here with the bounce you have to play half standing up - a bit like Rizwan.
 
Dropping catches and bowling wides so that their batters at least will get the full powerplay out in the middle. 4D chess by the Kiwis.
 
Lot of batsmen are not part of T20 team. Root, SMith even they are not part of it. HOw the heck Salman is considered a T20 fit.
 
But Agha still trying to be positive . Shows he has heart unlike Riz and bobzy . Pakistan missing Saim and Fakhar more than Riz and Babar .
