New Zealand (92/1) crush Pakistan (91) by 9 wickets in the first T20I game and lead the 5-match series 1-0

COllapse can happen to any team. THat is not the issue here for Pakistan. But the shot execution attempt should be the worrying sign. Their technique of big hitting is awful.

This is why we need better management before we need better players. There is a reason you make 2-3 changes at a time. Cant expect a completely raw team to do well in such tricky conditions.

As for the people who felt that Babar and Rizwan were the problem, watch us go back to the glory days of 1-4 and similar scores on a consistent basis. The problem was never Babar/Rizwan, It was the fact that we just don't have the talent pool, we just don't have the players who have the guts to take it to the next level.

As much as I hate to say this I still hope they stick with this squad for a while so that maybe one of these players can build onto something and maybe grow into a proper batsman.

A lot of the issues came after t20 wc 2022. I know we weren’t great before either, but we went mad after this event. We went absolutely crazy for not winning despite coming finalists when we were nowhere near the favourites. This led to a series of captaincy changes (Babar should have left but he shouldn’t have been brought back nor captains like Shaheen appointed than immediately sacked), changes in formation and players, bringing back people from the past, bringing in guys like Azam etc. So much changing and experimentation which ruined the makeup of the side. Just panic selections and chopping and changing. Babar for example should have stepped down to 3 but he should have stayed there not up and down again.

Even a worse team on paper, if given settled positions and long runs will do better.

Changes should be small and done over time. I think the ODI and T20 teams should have also been more or less similar in order to allow better practice too.

This is the problem there is just way to much pressure on the team and way too much panic and emotions from selection committee and over experimentation.
 
poor NZ audience...obviously they dont wanna bring in this team in future... atleast bring Zimbabwe for them to watch cricket..

I hope NZL changes their lineup with D SIDE probably for the next 4 match to atleast show something for the fans..

Well one thing is the bounce but the bowl is swinging like no tomorrow. I guarantee you that there are not a lot of players who can handle bounce and swing at the same time. Need to be patient and hope to win toss like these......

We lost 4-1 in that series and a lot of it was down to bad bowling. 158 was our lowest score out of the 4 games we lost, the rest were competitive totals. You guys just wanna blame rizwan and babar only.

this is a very good wicket to bat, just this bunch has a gulf of difference from domestic to intl as they cant put bat on ball.. Nzl would chase it in 15 overs with atleast 7 wickets in hand

Haris and Irfan definitely don’t deserve to be in the playing XI both are very limited players with horrible technique. shamyl and shehzad are much better both technique and hitting wise.

We were out batted on flat phattas. We scored 138 with Riz-Babar in Christchurch. We can get to same total today even with these tullaybaaz. These types of wickets are rare in T20s and you don't judge players based on performances here.

I dont care if we lose 20 matches.

I dont want Babar and Rizwan losers to ever make a comeback in cricket again.

Babar should forget playing cricket after trying to pad against India.

Then select worthy replacements. Babar is light years ahead of these fools. Most of these pathetic batters barely play for their PSL teams.
 
Agha got no power down the ground on slow surface. Tried all sorts of things.
Khushdil Shah should be our captain

Yeah we won that 138 game so idk how it’s even relevant lol. NZ scored 92 which tells u how difficult it was to bat on

Based on one match ? You don't need to be a technical wizard to succeed in T20s.
 
Another example of a complete abscence of modern cricket iq, game awareness from a Pakistani batsman Salman Agha, he played a reverse sweep against Sodhi in the previous over, the NZ captain adjusts the fielder slightly on the point boundary and backs Sodhi to bowl the same line, length, loop and what does Salman Agha do? Plays the same exact shot completely ignoring the fact that the NZ captain has now adjusted the fielder on the boundary in anticipation of the reverse sweep. Yet another example of a Pakistani player being extremely predictable for the opposition.

Don't expect our players to achieve spectacular things if they don't have the cricket smarts or game awareness to complement whatever limited ability they have.

Babar is a nothing player.

In the context of any match, him playing or not playing doesnt affect the team.

A Pakistan team winning will continue to win with Babar and losing will continue to lose with Babar in the team.

Thats how useless he is in the grand scheme of things.

You don't understand. Riz babar maybe good for tough pitches but these kind of pitches are rare in T20s. You don't build a team on that basis.

Shamyl is another anchor type of player, he is so slow. not for T20's yet

This is 5 match series so they Will be tested on all types surface . :kp

Something serious is wrong with the coaching. They need a foreign batting and bowling coach.

It was just poor execution. He intended to play that shot a lot finer (over short third man) than where it ended probably due to extra bounce. Right idea wrong execution.
 
they should change rules like 4 or 5 runs for a wide or nb when pak bats, only then this side can reach scores like 180 or 190 as if in modern T20 :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
