In fairness to the present team in the current series, the conditions in New Zealand i.e. the excessive pace, bounce, sideways movement was a nightmare to deal with and the NZ pace attack allowed no respite to the Pakistani batting line up. The batters were not helped by the incompetent bowlers they had in their team who have failed to exploit the conditions on offer.

PCB needs to be very careful here as our SENA record is going to dog **** and it wont be long before the likes of Australia, South Africa and New Zealand refuse to invite us on account of a lack of competition and quality.

Some will have some quality and ability which most teams will overcome and counter as time goes on, but real talent exhibits it regularly with match winnings performances and ability which most teams will not have consistent answers for no matter how much homework and planning they do. Like Shoaib Akhtar said in a recent interview, someone just doesn't become talented just on the basis of statements and comments, real talent is all about scoring impactful match winning runs and getting wickets consistently to win games for your country.

But Pakistani players have is some quality and ability when they come into the team and ultimately no answers when other team's get the better of them.

Don't fully agree with this. Management does not hold the bat and ball for the players when they go on the field. You get from the game what you put in and Pakistani players are notorious for slacking from hard work when it comes to their skills, nutrition, fitness. The only blame on the PCB is being soft on these players for so long and treating, pampering them like superstars when their performances haven't warranted it.

pakistan is not a minnow team and probably won't be in future if something really goes bad. They were always a mid tier team in the last two decades with moments of brilliance. Right now they are mid tier team trending towards lower side of the mid tier. They are too big a country which has only one major sport. They will always be competitive against mid tier teams. if they get their s*** together they can be at the lower end of top tier or upper end of mid tier. Yes NZ beat us in CT 2000 final, we beat them in 2025 CT final.

They beat us in WC 2019 semifinal, we beat them in 2023 WC.

Yes, we did win against them in Pak the last time they toured but this isn't a statistically 100% accurate post, it's just a metaphor for our fall & our performance against top teams.
