Those comments might have struck into Sami and Sarfraz's mind.Otherwise, the way they were playing before Sami's brainfreez was alright, which would have ended in a draw.

Horrible planning right from the start of this innings has seen us in the position we now find ourselves in.

When you dead bat half volleys even when the ball isn't moving an inch and then later on, think about chasing 200 plus in last session then something is seriously wrong with your approach and planning.

i am completely losing trust in mickie arthur after this series. he is strategically zero. he should have sensed this situation right away and should have stopped pakistanis from mindless chase after tea.

sarfraz is the biggest culprit with his mindless running and useless aggression. i predicted an hour ago that pakistan will lose and it was so obvious. what was mikie arthur thinking?

NO - I understand the context very well. Kiwis haven't bowled a singe bouncer with new ball, as their players are groomed in a much better system, they are not idiots - the moment PAK's No. 8 is bowled a bouncer, umpire 'll offer light.

It should be like this-Pakistan needs to play out 15.2 overs with 4 wickets in hand.

Oh no.94 balls are too much for Pakistan with that weakest lower order batting.

I won't mind this lost one bit, pak fully deserved to lose this, mostly because of their useless thinking, if they were going for draw then their approach in first two sessions was great. But then they shouldn't have even dreamed of winning and risk screwing it up. That is what they have done, and if they really were planning to chase, then they had to be 100/1 at lunch and 230/3 at tea atleast, and then even if they screwed it in end nobody would have question thinking and approach, but they caught in between those two scenarios.
 
Sohail Khan can be the fast bowling allrounder we've been looking for in Tests
 
So we botched a chase by starting off uber defensive ... Azhar & Sami the culprits yet again ... Both should be dropped from the team ... their terrible batting cost us the series ... With us being down 1-0, the mindset should've been to go for the chase from the onset instead of leaving too much for the last session. And now if we end up losing it'll have been another meek display. :facepalm:

We should have gone for the chase from 1st over ... we're already losing, losing 2-0 wouldn't matter.

We have no choice but to play Sohail Khan in Australia due to his tailend batting. It's not as if rest are ahead of him in terms of bowling. All the five pacers we have are neck to neck in terms of their performances with the ball so the batting should be given the priority when it comes to the selection.

Instead, Pak management led by Mickey the phenomenal chose to get suicide.
 
What's the official time of closing? I am sure 13 overs are not possible, but haven't seen any signal of last hour - need to go to bed ......

Younis the Pak bradman and Asad the Pak Tendulkar managed to score combined in 8 innings they played.

Pakistan don't need their service in Australia.

Well hopefully you've now learned that having a good start chasing 370 on day 5 is very different than sustaining it across 96 overs, & then having to score about three times faster than you had been.

There is a reason chases over 370 have only ever been done 5-6 times in Test history.
 
Its funny to see Pakistan were 191-3 only 15 overs ago and posters were bashing them for not trying to win ....
 
So, Sher Khan didn't last 2 full overs, & got out exactly the way Kiwis wanted him - playing away from body to away swinger. Does PAK cricketers learn anything in QA Style or just go there & do their staff like a machine?
