Must be Misbah‘a brilliant decision to bowl first. You never do that in Test cricket unless you have confidence in your bowling attack that they will roll the opposition out for 150.

Our impotent bowling attack will concede an average of 400+ on a decent batting surface.

Pakistan had a 10% chance of salvaging something from this game but by deciding to bowl first, they handed the match to New Zealand on a platter.

A thrashing awaits us now, but things could have been somewhat interesting had we batted first and scored around 250-300 in our first innings.

Misbah never ever had confidence in his batsman even during his captaincy days that is the main reason he tuk tuks to bat all the overs himself.

He has more confidence in his bowlers than the batsman. I’m also sure that Pakistan would have been bundled out for less than 150 here. Seen many times in away SENA tours when they bat first they struggle to put runs on the board , let it be any format.

Kinda surprised you'd think we'd score 250-300 against Boult-Southee-Jamieson-Wagner. I feel like if we batted first, we'd have scored 180-200 tops.

Naseem Shah needs to go back to domestic cricket and should only be considered after 1-2 seasons of being among the top wicket takers.

Pakistan need to move on from Abbas and Yasir Shah as well.

Shan masood all day standing at second slip but was standing at wrong position that will confuse first slip and himself going for the catch, neither the bowlers, fielders, captain and coaches couldn’t correct that for 90 overs is very poor

It takes one long partnership or two good innings to post 250-300.

Pakistan’s batting outside Asia over the last 4-5 years has been acceptable for our standards and certainly better than our bowling.

We have scored enough runs in Australia over the last two tours to at least draw 1 match, but it is the pathetic bowling that continues to lose games.

Our batting is actually slightly better than our bowling these days, even if Babar os unavailable.

Pakistan will not even beat weak sides in Test cricket if they continue to pull off this stunt of bowling first. Our bowling is a joke these days.

Yeah facts. My streaming went during Haris's drop off Kane, but NZ could've easily been 5+ down if Haris held on and if Abbas held on.

Things is also, wickets generate momentum & pick up the bowler + place more & more pressure on incoming batsmen- it's a snowball effect. Those 2 or 3 chances missed ALSO cost you potentially 2 more chances created that a flat bowler/tam just don't create after drops.
