New Zealand v Pakistan | Match 33, World Cup | Edgbaston | June 26, 2019 | New Zealand innings

New Zealand can easily add 110-120 with these two and Santner to come.

Abay yaar 150 up.... I'd be bricking if we have to chase anything over 200

Feel like we've let them off the hook here a bit.
Having said that Neesham and CDG deserve credit too.

After India game, I listened to criticism from ex Pak players that Pak is unable to take early wkts because they are playing old ball bowlers like Hasan Ali, Wahab. Even Amir is better in his second spell.
Can anyone explain me, how do you judge if someone is a new ball bowler or old ball bowler? (pardon me if i come across as ignorant) Does it depend on your bowling action ?
I was under the impression that great bowlers like Wasim are good with any ball, anytime of the innings.

Pakistan now paying the price for over reliance on Hafeez and Imad in the middle overs
Really should have brought Shadab earlier or introduced Haris on this pitch favouring flight and loopy deliveries
Plus Wahab is beating the batsmen too often outside off, due to pace. Why not try bowling at stumps a bit more..

Soo frustrated with Imad Spell. Defensive Captaincy at it's best. Should have been Amir/Wahab all the way to get them out instead of this ****show.

I think we should bat conservatively and get to 210, this pitch has a bit in it.

We shouldn't hit out and get all out for 170.

Wonder where all the people are who were calling out best LOi pace bowler in the last year garbage and trash.

They're batting at a run rate of 3.83 and people thinking they're getting away with the game.

Pakistani fans never cease to amaze me

True. Should be pleased we actually picked up those early wickets so we are going to be chasing a score of less than 250. We'd have took that before the day started. If we can't chase that then we deserve to go out.

What happened to "free win for NZ"... that's why they say don't run mouth before the mathc

:)))

Indirectly accepting you will no longer cheerlead for Imad. Cool, I guess you've seen the light, then.

I call out average players and mediocrity. Of course, you think Imad didn't deserve it as you're his blind supporter and it hurt your ego.

If you now accept that Imad Wasim is mediocre, there's nothing wrong in that.

People do make mistakes in judging players. :najam As long as you eventually see the light, it's fine.

I've never been his cheerleader, just oppose the presence of posters like yourself who are so cheap and have nothing going for them in their lives, they feel the need to promote their favourite cricketers via their own free PR services.

As we know you're not the sharpest tool in the shed. You exposed yourself, when you vouched for Faheem Ashraf ahead of Imad. This is the reason why I took exception to your anti-Imad campaign on here, because your opposition of him is not on the basis of meritocracy but merely because of your agenda(s).

I think the question of cricketing insight, comprising of "judging players", needs to be asked of you. Remember when you said Babar is one of the top 4 or 5 ODI batsmen in the world?

You're just going to get schooled and exposed again, so don't bother replying for your sake.

I'll explain in details, but not in working hours. Either open a new thread for this, or find a similar old thread to bump ...........

very disappointed honestly ...definately let them off the hook..with the spin on the offer shadab has been poor...captaincy not good..kiwis would have watched all this...fast bowlers will be bowling cutters after cutters...score already too much

Actually - 200 (which now looks achievable for NZ) will test Pakistan chasing on this wicket.
Considering the high stakes game this is.

From what I've seen it's easy to keep it tight by bowling the right lines and lengths.

Bad balls need to be punished.

Yaar, not enjoying this second half of the NZ innings. Can’t take the win for granted... you never know with Boult in your side, if the ball swings for a bit, could make it tough.

How has a mediocre hack like CDG survived on this difficult wicket so far? Aman

This game is reminding me of a game in 2006 in the champions trophy . South Africa were 42-5 , they got to 213 and got us all out for 89.

Please do something Pakistan. :(

Pakistan have let it slip.

Anything over 180 and NZ are favorites

Honestly dots are good too... we are in the 41st over and they have next to nothing on the board

Justin Kemp played a brilliant innings, similar to the one Neesham and CdG are playing.

Yes and that is where I said Pakistan can be 30 for 6. Pakistan needed Shoab Malik today

Shaheen should have been bowled out. Hes not a death bowler and you shouldnt be thinking about that anyway with the opposition at 80/5.
He couldve picked up one of these two between the 25th and 35th over period.

Whatever we get, we need to have Pakistan 3-4 down in the first 10 overs to put pressure on the batsmen.

Has the pitch became easier to bat or Pak took it casually just like WI vs Aus game?. If NZ scores 240, we are in for a close game. Chasing is Pak's achillies heel.

Could 220-230 be a winning total on this pitch?, however with 9 overs remaining it will be difficult for NZ
