Stupidity by smith

i think AMLA complained to him .. that let him score some runs .. i wanna score a century :D

For some strange reason, now I am really bothered by Tahir's presence in this squad. If South Africa is able to import players to fill their weaknesses, other teams will inevitably start doing the same, won't they? Mazaa chale jaayega.

I don't blame Tahir at all, but rather this tactic of importing that England started.

how is it called importing and exporting :)
???

Is it just me or does any one else also feels that Pat Symcox and Simon Doull in the comm box trying to outsmart each other with predictions and comments?

Symcox seems to be grumpy where as Simon is pessimistic

Yeah this is the sort of problem I have with importing players like this. Countries have historically had weaknesses in certain aspects. I want to see them work hard to overcome them, alter their training to try and produce quality in that failing aspect. Or to find a way to overcome that said weakness. Importing people to fill that weakness defeats the point.

This importing system is always going to favour the richer countries, e.g. England and South Africa. These countries already have advantages of better training equipment, schemes, coaches, and better set up domestic leagues anyway. They don't need another advantage like this.

I don't blame the players who do decide to play for a different nation e.g. Trott, Tahir. If it's legal, they might as well do it. Fault lies more with the rules on this. They must be changed.

Tahir put a lot of hard yards into trying to be selected in the pakistani team. We should have given him a chance. I certainly don't begrudge him playing for South Africa. Feels more like our fault for not realising his worth.

2 most mediocre players of their time, now trying desperately trying to show their worth as 'analysts.'

Agreed. At some point I feel if the rules are not amended, then India too will start importing fast bowlers :sami

Also, I don't feel it will help South Africa at all, Tahir is the exception, because he married a South African. But in general I feel South Africa is going to be the country from which talent flows out, because its not a particularly rich country, and crime is a serious problem. England will generally be the main beneficiary.

What I mean is it's richer than countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka etc.

There is a lot of money invested in sport, and cricketers get very well paid in South Africa. There's definitely an incentive to move there.

I don't think India will do the same thing. There aren't many white people who have settled in India. Hence they're unlikely to be happy to move there. England is a lot more multicultural. Pakistanis will be unlikely to ever want to play for India. Nor would India be particularly happy playing them. Sri Lankans I doubt would want to play either. Only hope is perhaps from countries like Bangladesh, who don't really produce quality fast bowlers anyway. Or Afghanistan, but their fast bowlers aren't good enough to get into the Indian team.

England will always be the main culprit of this. Lots of people settle in England from all different countries.

Faf misses, Woodcock goes thru on the suicide single.

South Africa have bowled all their opposition but not New Zealand, something tells me it's NZ's day today, I can sense a kiwi victory

single to finish the innings.

SA Target : 222

20 runs short of being competitive, really.

NZ finish their innings with a total of 221.

Should be an easy win for SA unless they choke.

NZ is at least 25 runs short of making this match more interesting. They wasted too many balls with not even singles scored. If SA won't choke like they usually do in the big matches then we are in for an easy Proteas win.

Forgot to add, dew factor making it SA 80 % against NZ 20 % chance

I am telling you guys Kiwis will win this match, Vettori hasn't delivered for them in a long time, today might be his day.

It's not that I like the South African team, but I also the Kiwis too. I am used to supporting the underdogs as commies and posters here have already let South Africa won the game, I am feeling bad so I am supporting Kiwis. Also, great character shown by Ryder today.

You have more faith in them than I do.

First rule of New Zealand cricket, expect nothing.

Friend have faith in your team, they will beat South Africa, pitch will assist the spinners well in the 2nd innings, ball is going to turn a lot, and Vettori is a smart cricketer, one of the finest captain I have seen. His contribution today will be vital. Also, the slower bowlers like Styris and Oram will be hard to get away with, trust me the Kiwis will surprise everyone today.

But South Africa are favorites brother, along with India and England. Commies writing the Kiwis off even before a ball being bowled kind of saddened me, my heart goes to the underdog teams in this world cup. It will be nice if the Kiwis win this world cup, too much was said about their team after Bangladesh whitewashed them, it will be nice for their fans to win this cup. I get inspired by underdogs, brother, very motivational.

There is other fans? There were more Bangladeshis supporting NZ at the ground today then New Zealanders at a home game in NZ lol
