New zealand is probably the best place to play cricket but at the same time worst place as well because of rain. Pak warm up game and the first odi is more likely to be a washout. Rain all day predicted. Locals probably can tell better
 
That really sucks, we finally get some cricket after a 3 month period and it's going to rain :/
 
This happened last series to when we went to nz... I recall Ahmed shehzad scoring heavily in first 10-15 overs and then rain spoiling sport..
 
Hopefully rain comes only when Pakistan need it to save them. :ashwin

Little break is ok but washouts and curtailed games spoils everything
 
The weather has changed, let's hope that it stays this way. The game is scheduled to begin at 11 AM local time.

Hopefully no issues with the ground either i.e wet outfield, and we get a full game. Ideal time for us US viewers, the match is going to start at 5 PM EST.
 
Just checked the weather no rain after 10:00 new zealand time. Match starts at 11 there. Looks fine after that
 
Come on I was so excited for the match to begin and now I found out it is supposed to rain come on!

Weather looking much more promising now rain scheduled before the match but nothing during the matchup it seems.

Rain at the moment in Wellington but expected to clear by 11...
 
Just checking the weather forecast and it's raining right now, and toss might be delayed for half-and-hour. It'll clear up but rain will return for an hour again before, and hopefully, clearing up for the day.
 
Such is my excitement for the game that I just called a friend in Wellington to inquire about the weather. She says its pretty windy right now and while it could rain, as the forecast says as well - the weather seems to be clearing up. There's a good chance we're going to get a game. Maybe a rain affected one, but a game nonetheless.

That's something I never get, there's been countless number of times that a Pakistani player has their name spelt wrong on their jersey. You never or rarely see it for any other country if it all.

Jamshed’s ‘Pepsi’ logo was upside down in that Aane Do series for straight two ODI’s - not sure about third match.
 
Actually wanting the rain to come now. Not looking great for Pakistan

Fakhar wasn't going anywhere. Fahim was gonna hang in there, and our pace trio can more than hold a bat.

RRR was under control. 9 over of spinners were remaining.

We literally needed 1 wicket to kill the little hope Pakistan had.

Pakistan have chased 100 in 8 overs before. The man in that chase, Faheem Ashraf, was on the crease. I don’t know what you’re trying to get at.

150 in 20 was easy with Fakhar and Faheem at the crease. Your boys were offering at least 2 freebies every over towards the end.

Faheem is a master chaser and Fakhar is the most mentally tough guy in the side.

Good news is the weather (according to the forecast from today) shows that it won't be a washout matter of fact we may even get 40+ overs
 
Weather doesn’t seem that bad, a few passing showers are forecasted, but that’s all.

You're right but think of it like this. Everything went your way from the get go, batting second was an awful decision on that pitch and with high winds. Williamson drop, many inside edges, bowlers consistently bowling good overs and going for a boundary in last couple of balls. Azhar going for cross batted shot despite having hit a 4 (You wont see that again). Top order collapses for 37 for 5. YET all pak needed was 150 from 20 with Fakhar, Faheem, Hassan and Amir. Had Shadab stayed Pak could've won (This lower order has done this before). Easily the best lower order for Pak since Wasim, Moin Razzaq.

Anyways point being not everything will go your way everyday =). Your side is good, but that was the worst display of Pak you'd see.

Btw Faheem is far from a "hack" why spill rubbish about someone you've never seen play ?

I mean't Fakhar and it wasn't an insult. Munro is a hack, it's not a bad thing it's just these types of players are more stand and deliver types of players who have little footwork and average techniques. It doesn't mean that they're useless, it's just that you shouldn't expect too much from them outside fast starts/runs.

One ball for the little hope Pakistan had to win to be extinguished.

It was a given we would get several chances with a RRR of 7.5 and 20 overs left.

He’s barely had a chance to bat. He rarely batted due to Pakistan top order chasing totals problemlessly

Some weather sites suggests it will rain others suggests it be no rain and game on hai

At the end of the day 150 with 4 wickets remaining is a tough/almost unrealistic chance. However, if Shadab didnt throw away his wicket it could have been different as he looked so comfortable. Doesn't help when your best bat Babar is wrongly given out too. Regardless though NewZealand is a GOOD side, loving Ferguson !
 
There’s a 5% chance of rain throughout the Match time on Accuweather. So GOOD news that. There will be a relatively high cloud cover early on during 11AM to 1 PM, so it’s better to FIELD FIRST. There will be a light diagonal breeze of about 8 mph in the Saxton Oval, it is a northerly wind so it may help if the bowlers are coming in from the south side. The cloud will clear up slightly over time and conditions will become less friendly for fielders. It’s important that Pakistan wins this toss.

That's at the current time. See the graph with the 40+% chances of rain in the afternoon.

However, different weather outlets are reporting conflicting things about the weather.

So best to wait and see what happens...
