Without meat, how do you get good adequate good protein in your diet for general public and masses?

Delhi Nihari in saddar Lahore is my favourite. Their special version brings in nalli and maghaz into the mix too. With the freshly made naan/khameeri roti it’s heavenly.

Waris and Muhammadi are the two more famous ones in Lahore.
I went here again a few days ago. I take back my recommendation. It was pretty meh this time around. Also they were out of nalli.

I was in university dorm from 2009 till 2011.

There were very few halal options nearby. So, I had to get my protein from tuna, milk, egg, and protein powder during those 2 years.

It is possible to get all the necessary protein without meat but meat is obviously a better/superior source.

I personally would prefer nihari.

Its tasty at the same time lighter than Biryani or Karahi.

In fact I just ordered from Kebob @ Derry Road .

My absoulite favourite is a spicy chicken or salmon Biryani.

Chiken karahi is also delicious if it's spicy.

But Haleem, I just can not eat that. Mixing daal with gosht, no no ouff that's not for me.

Yes. I also love spicy biryani. I don't like mild stuff.

Never had salmon biryani but I have had shrimp biryani. It was good.

have eaten a few times Beef biryani at the local bangladeshi restaurant, quiet tasty

There is another contender though, Beef Tehari

Yeah. Tehari is good. My favorite.

In Bangladesh, there is a type of beef biryani called "kachhi biryani". It is also delicious.

Here is the process:
  • Raw, marinated beef is placed at the bottom of the pot
  • Partially cooked rice is layered on top
  • The whole dish is then cooked together in one pot
This is different from other biryanis where the meat is cooked first.
