LOL. The cells will grow inside you? Are you serious? Cells only grow when they have a supply of energy and nutrients, either from blood or in lab conditions.

Why would they want to plant a bacterial infection inside of you? These are companies looking to make money. By making food laden with infection, they will lose their consumer base pretty fast.

I think you need to do some more research on the topic brother.

Well, the same thing that stops chicken and cow meat cells growing inside you when you eat your burger.

One of the perils of Brexit and negotiating a free trade deal, including looser food regulations, with the USA.

The EU has very stringent rules on GM foods, including meat from animals fed on such. That's why meat imports from the USA into the EU are heavily restricted. The UK will be inundated with GM meat and cereals from the USA after Brexit. Bang goes food quality, to be replaced by quantity. Just like American cafes and restaurants.

Well, I still think it is a brilliant idea. I have recently become pescatarian as I do not like the idea of animals with a similar nervous system to me being industrial raw materials. Battery and dairy farming particularly disturb me.

But I might come back to meat produced in a painless way.
