Yes that sort of combination can work in a game or two but not consistently.
Sarfraz showed more faith in malik than haris although haris scored 2 centuries in Aus series, to Sarfraz form doesnt matter if shoaib 'bhai' is in the squad he had to play.
Hassan has been in terrible form yet he played ahead of shaheen who was our best fast bowler in last year or so. Even in series against England when Shaheen was going for runs he was still picking wickets, a lot more than any of our fast bowlers.
Sarfraz has shown inability to make brave and smart decisions.

Yes we do not have world beaters but theres a difference between expectations of fans and what players expect from themselves.As a player you have to play to the best of your abilities and expect great results.
As a captain when you know you have limited resources you make best use of the available choices. Sarfraz could not drop both out of form shoaib 'bhai' and hassan to play in-form haris and Shaheen. Shaheen is our only fast bowler to have picked up wickets in last year or so.,even against England when he was going for runs he was still picking up wickets.
In my opinion Sarfraz lacks both courage and ambition and such a guy can can never make a good leader

Bro, altough i like Haris as a batsmen, he also is no savior.
Haris got his chance and we saw what he did in the west indies game, which is why from a team managment point of view his dropping at the time made sense.

I hate mallik to the core and we could all sit here and discuss how Malik was at fault, but even Haris was at fault aswell for what he did in the west indies game.

Haris vs Malik doesn’t even warrant a discussion. Savior or not he’s a genuine batsman and 2nd best in squad. He walked into the tournament on back of 2 hundreds against Australia which Malik and HAFEez combined haven’t done.

He got a good ball and got out against windies that doesn’t mean you drop him for garbage like Malik and then when you bring him back you try utmost to make him fail by batting him number 5 “.

Exactly my sentiments -the overall performance was satisfactory, problem was with the selections of squads (Malik, and no specialist spinner) and even teams in certain games (not playing Shadab in Aus game, and playing Hasan Ali for too many games instead of trying out Hasnain and Afridi). Anyway time to move on from Sarfraz's captaincy and Inzi as they are guilty of wrong selections. Mickey may well be but we can give him benefit of doubt for one more year under new selection management.

I guess you are right but that has been the case for long time. Not many gave PAk team credit for competing well in SA series in SA, or NZ one day series at UAE, despite some odd selections . Everyone cries about the the Aus 5-0 loss even though they know at least 9 regular squad players were missing.
Sarfraz is not brilliant captain but given the talent in the squads he has captained he has not done a bad job at all. I will like to see a new captain now at least for ODIs and T20s and fairer selections.

Agree but Sarfraz does not deserve to be discarded from all formats immediately, remove him from ODI/T20 and slowly phase him out of tests. Rizwan or whoever does well in ODI keeping/batting can replace him in years time.
