Interesting young batters performing when given a go in the right position. Who would have thought.
 
Camerawork is horrible

No point of hd with such childish camerawork.
 
Zeeshan is some talent. Hit Shaheen straight for 6 and then off the covers for 4
 
Haider out for 99. What a knock and guy plays for the team
 
Thoroughly impressed by Zeeshan Malik. I hope he can keep this up throughout the tournament. Haider just cemented what most of us already know by now.

Same here. Didnt watch much of Zeeshan live before but, looks really good.

More opportunities will come for him but the way he only thought about the team is a big positive and is unlike some of the players we have produced recently.

KPK bowling was diabolical, so many extras. Don't know why Rizwan gave two overs to Fakhar Zaman instead of Iftikhar, Hafeez or Malik.

Possibly because two right handed batsmen were on crease. Still would have worth a try.

Nah, Rauf will excel. Watch Shadab pick up 2 wickets and Rauf will pick up 1 in the middle overs and 1 at the death with a good economy.

KPK will be all out for 180.

Musa will be relatively the most expensive but will pick cheap wickets.
 
What a mature batting performance from Haider ali and zeeshan Malik both completenting each other perfectly.we know what haider is capable of but zeeshan Malik seems like he can play all the shots and can play the big shots loved the straight 6 off shaheen ell done to wasim
 
Notherns were the best team in this tournament and they are proving it. I think, they should open with Amin exchanging with Imran and that will make a gun T20 top 5 for domestics.
 
Wicket looks good - instead of burnt mud, there is greenish layer on top which always makes the ball come on top bat. The general understanding in PAK wickets is grassless dead slow tracks are best for batting and I have noticed brine (salt water) being used as n wickets to kill the grass from roots!!!! MULTAN was one of the best tracks & with October dew, on this track I expect average score to reach ~200-220.

Not impressed by Razzaq's coaching at all.

Arms folded sat in the dugout with the team looking lethargic. Nobody even making any notes. Meanwhile Northern have their analyst watching on laptop.

That coming after an indisciplined bowling and fielding effort.

Pretty surprising considering he has been associated with QG (Which is a pretty successful PSL franchise) as assistant coach for some years now so that experience should have helped him.

Still first match and so lets see what changes he makes in the next match.

Does that come as a surprise? The man played his career on talent alone never understanding the game itself. After this embarrassing season they are about to have, he still won't be able to understand what went wrong.
 
Nawaz does the job in T20s more often than not. Was pretty decent in the tri series Pak won vs Aus and Zim in the absence of Imad.

Do not really rate him he is often ineffective in bowling at international level and his batting is over rated.
 
Top stuff from Northern. Good tactics as well as decent captaincy from Shadab.
 
Razzaq looking really disappointed. Needs to go back to the drawing board.
 
This overwhelming love for seniors..hurting KPK will arguably hurt Pak as well. Somebody needs to ask Rizwan why Fakhar was made to bowl..

Yes, I remember you rating Zeeshan highly. I only had watched his highlights before and this was the first time I was seeing him live in LOI. Watching a live match shows much more, the compact technique, strike rotation, batting intelligence etc.

Hopefully he can continue his form throughout the tournament and get a PSL contract as well. His FC performances were impressive last year so if he can continue those, he might be part of the A team in NZ. There can be few ways doors can open for him in the coming year if he is ready for them.

Its the obsession of modern day captains to bowl off spinners to only left handers. Haider and Zeeshan, two right handers were batting so Rizwan went with Fakhar. Should have given atleast one over to Iftikhar to see how it goes.

Yes. All 3 pacers of Northern playing today bowled with good discipline today. Its a long tournament so I am expecting some rotation throughout.

No defo imran should open he can play the big shots to amin can come if they loose early wickets

Yes his team was under pressure but the coach didnt show any encouragement or even change the batting line up

Zeeshan defo has all the shots and can play big shots he needs to perform in this tournament to gain the recognition
