NZ v Pakistan is not a sure stop win for Pakistan.

Yes. Will be the most NZ thing ever if they get smashed in the tri series before and then do the number on Pakistan in the CT opener. They have a history of tripping the hosts in ICC tournaments.

Santner, Bracewell and Phillips. Lot of spin. All can bat too. Very competitive side who live for these moments.

Pakistan vs NZ - NZ to win .

Pakistan champion trophy dream will be end on 23 Feb after Defeat against NZ and india ,just four days within start of the tournament)

Afghanistan to win 2 match vs South Africa/ Australia/ England

Semifinal 1 , both are my favourite team - India vs Afghanistan

Semifinal 2 , NZ vs Australia/ England
:kp

There is just one day gap between India's last league match on March 2nd and the first Semi-final match on March 4th. If India does qualify for the Semi-final, it will be tough. Not complaining, just pointing out the itinerary to those who whined during the past tournaments and who will moan again in the future.

Indeed.

I personally want to see all 3 teams (BD, Pakistan, and NZ) beating India and sending them home.

:qdkcheeky
Altho the possibility of Bangla beating them is low, but that would be the biggest cherry on top. After getting the beat down, their team and some of their fans can cope and seethe at home on their TVs.

What a beautiful moment would that be. Cricket will heal.

Group stage knockout for India - MAKE IT HAPPEN!!

India will curate the pitches in dubai to exactly how they want it. Just like how they always get more practice on the pitch that is used for Pakistan matches.

Every prediction is true except bangladesh winning against Pakistan and newzealand lol

This match in dubai is going to really hurt the pakistani players, playing in front of Indians in UAE in a tournament you are hosting. Should be enough fuel for the fire.

Only tournament where each and everyone will be rooting for first round India exit.

They should be knocked out. Let the tournament happen peacefully.

Ind should have played 1 game each in Dubai sharjah abudhabi - instead of all 3 in dubai. Uae is such a soulless place for cricket- would have preferred SL or Ban.

I see you have an excuse ready already.

:qdkcheeky
You are free to take in whatever way you want. But the fact is, in a day-night game in UAE, the toss plays a huge role. It need not be just India that will get negatively impacted. It could be the other team too. I would prefer India playing all their games in Pakistan or not play in CT at all. But, we have to deal with whatever we got now.

Pakistan and Kiwis need to join hands in this mission to heal world cricket. I hope the boys come through - whole nation is counting on them. Even if they dont make the finals, beating India could ensure the tournament stays in Pakistan. More riding on this game.

India knocked out of group stage - totally hyped for this!

Every prediction is true except bangladesh winning against Pakistan and newzealand lol
I will tell you why?
Bangladesh vs newzealand
If this cup was not in sub continent I would have bet on newzealand beating Bangladesh. But it's in Sub continent and I have always seen them struggling against Bangladesh in sub continent which is kinda weird.
Pakistan vs Bangladesh
Pakistan will face Bangladesh last, and according to my prediction they will beat newzealand and India, which will send them automatically to semi final and. I don't believe Pakistan will go undefeated at group stage they will lose to Bangladesh in over confidence.

Good to see the official announcement finally coming in. End of the whole CT drama. Let the games begin.
Not only has much of the confusion surrounding the format of the next World Cup been cleared, but it has also been confirmed that the same hybrid model the ICC is using for the 2025 Champions Trophy will apply to the World Cup. Those expecting a U-turn from the BCCI and ignoring reports about India and Pakistan playing all their matches at neutral venues received a harsh reality check. Now, they are either silent or continuing to ignore this thread as well. :kp :inti

Former Pakistan captain Younis Khan, during a media interaction in Karachi:

"It is a welcome sign that the Champions Trophy matches are being held in Pakistan. For nine years, we played cricket outside Pakistan, but now we can enjoy the advantage of playing on home grounds."

"My wish is for regular Pakistan-India cricket. Playing against India helps you become a big player, and I always talk about the importance of these high-stakes matchups."
