So it's been 22 year since the launch of PTI by Imran Khan back in 1996.

PTI had to wait 6 more years to win a single seat in National Assembly.

1996: Party Founded

2002: Khan won a seat for PTI in General Elections.

2008: PTI boycotted 2008 General Elections.

2011: PTI organized the biggest jasla of their history.

2013: PTI becomes the second largest party by getting more than 7.5 million votes in the country. Largest party by vote and seats in KP province and formed their first provincial government.

2014: 126 days long dherna against rigging when the ruling party refused to investigate.

2015: PTI as a party entered in Senate for the first time.

2016: PTI started their nation wide campaign against Nawaz Sharif when Panama Leaks appeared.

2017: PTI won the Panama case and sitting Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was disqualified.

2018: Well it's the General Election year again so let's see what's there for them!

Just imagine PK politics without PTI. Take a pick from the crooked AZ or the crooked NS.

A 22-year-long struggle that will hopefully reap its rewards.

The time is now!

This country was really in need of a third force an alternative and IK offered us that to control these crooks!

Naeem ul Haq is there with PTI and IK from the very beginning.

You would think that Imran Khan would have been at the height of his popularity in the 1990s.

Why wasn't he voted in at that point? The people seem to have selected Benazir and/or Nawaz...

To be honest thats the mindset of our people we want crooks not clean people even Edhi sahab lost the only election where he contested.

Just imagine without IK, we would have the 2 crooked families to take turns to fleece our poor country. Thank you IK

Getting into power was the first battle won, now he has to retrieve the looted wealth from the Sharif, Zardari, Bhutto mafia

Agreed. If we are still talking in 4 years about what should be done and not what has been done , then I will be very disappointed.

Imagine a man starting his party from 0 and thn coming into power after 22 years of struggle...

Now imagine another guy getting party chairmanship because his mother said so in in a piece of paper called will...

Well said. I've not understood this "competency triumphs over corrupt leaders" argument since PPP and PML are not only corrupt but very incompetent as well.

We all know that but to rationalise the indefensible some idiot in his desperation came up with this.

Did anyone ever see the will? Just imagine if you are Aitazaz Ahsan and you are given orders by a kid barely out of nappies.

I watched this speech Imran Khan gave at Ted Talk where he mentioned "you only lose when you give up". He struggled for 22 years, yet he never gave up and now he is Prime Minister. And politicians who were created by the establishment, have the gall to call him a stooge.

And i find it funny Baby Bilawal criticizing IK's rise to power.

Because establishment was with Nawaz and Benazir. Now, the establishment has abandoned them and Imran/PTI is their new tool. Hence, they are in the power now.

But to be fair IK build up his supporters over time. The establishment cant force people to turn up in huge numbers...

Imran was just the right person at the right time. People were completely fed up with PMLN, PPP, MQM, etc.

Imran Khan won 1992 trophy out of nowhere (Pakistan were down and out in the group stage).

Similarly, he became prime minister out of nowhere.

Well done.

Special message of Founder Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan on the occasion of 28th Foundation Day:

"Congratulations to the workers on the occasion of the 28th foundation day and I thank the Almighty, Founder Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

During these twenty-eight years of peaceful political struggle, God's help and support was with us and our message spread to every corner of the country.

The ideas of Iqbal and the vision of Quaid-i-Azam regarding the Kingdom of God Pakistan is the basis of our peaceful political struggle from the first day.

The political journey started with the universal agenda of justice, humanity and self-righteousness has come closer to the destination of the supremacy of the constitution, the rule of law and the true freedom of the nation.

This political journey of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf spanning twenty-eight years is a summary of these trials and tests which are rare in the country's politics.

During the last two years, especially by blowing up the constitution and laws, destroying the institutions and carrying out the funeral of democracy, they made a brutal attempt to wipe out Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Every section of the nation, especially the youth and women, supported the ideology of Tehreek-e-Insaaf and thwarted the attempts to impose eternal slavery on the nation with their courage and perseverance.

I pay tribute to the workers and voters, especially our martyrs and brave captives, who have made endless sacrifices for becoming the arm of Tehreek-e-Insaf for the real freedom of the nation.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is equally a popular political force in all units of the federation and the guardian of the aspirations of the nation.

On the occasion of the foundation day of my party, I reiterate my pledge to the nation that I will never accept slavery and will not allow my nation to bow down to anyone other than Allah.

The future of Pakistan lies in the supremacy of the constitution, the rule of law and the survival and development of democracy.

The workers should arrange unity and unity in their ranks and prepare for the decisive phase of the struggle to free the country from the oppression of constitutional injustice and lawlessness" - Founder Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf
