What's new

Our most clinical World Cup knockout performance ever?

2011 against West Indies comes to mind in the QFs.

The 2009 final against SL was also a relatively comfortable win .

I think the England CT17 semi final was obliteration from start to finish. Nothing comes close to that level of clinical domination for me. And it was a much bigger surrpise given England's absolute devastatingly dominant status in white ball cricket at the time.

But ultimately Pakistan are continuing their tournament history.

I back them to go all the way on Sunday.

the 1999 Semis was better imo. And it still bothers me to this day that we batted first in that World Cup Final.

Going back to the inaugural WorldT20 in 2007 - our SF win against NZ back then was also very clinical and one-sided..

Congratulations , and well deserved one. Kiwis seems like in my lifetime will never be able to pass the Pakistani hurdle in LOI.

Wt20 09 Final was most clinical had Sl under the pump from ball one and even in chase we were always of 8 ball :malik

Turned up 3/4 overs late to Lord's final in 09. They already had Dilshan by then and Pakistan never once looked in pressure for the entire match. That was probably the most clinical, one sided final, Pakistan ever played.

CT-17 when Hardik Pandya got going against Shadab. It looked like we might bottle it even though Pakistan were much ahead in the game but even that wasn't as easy as 09 Final. insha'Allah the final will be an easy win, I'm getting too old for close games.

Maybe 4th most clinical ever.

99 semi final
2007 semi final
2017 CT semi final
