I didn't see Buzinga condemn when BLA attacked in Pakistan or when Israel killed innocent Palestinian civilians.

Buzinga is a BJP Hindutva extremist. Period.

Anyway, we Muslims don't lower ourselves down to Buzinga's level. We always condemn when innocents are killed (whether Muslims or non-Muslims).

My cousin went there last week.

I was planning to go next month. Safe to say, better forget about it for some time. Freak incident, but who’s gonna take a chance? Especially not family men. It took a lot of time for people to have the confidence to visit Kashmir. This is a set back

Yes I realised it when Suleiman told me to not use this emojis on death or any other attack. But I said my intention was never wrong it was just natural to post kp emoji in every Post.
 
When a nation can dispatch agents across oceans to silence adversaries in the West but can’t safeguard its own citizens in a heavily militarized region like Kashmir, it’s not the narrative that needs repeating, it’s the accountability that needs demanding. Modi has repeatedly failed to protect the people of India, especially in Kashmir. This experiment has run its course and repeating the same tactics while expecting different results isn’t leadership, it’s denial.

@Major guess you forgot to answer me. So let me ask you again. Why only the Indian side of the Kashmir valley is disputed? What is the reason behind this dispute? I mean by all accord, India is a financially stronger nation than Pakistan with more opportunities for better livelihood. So why the part of Kashmir that is in India is under constant conflicts and not the side in Pakistan?

I mean I know the answer...but just asking.

I don’t want any war with Pakistan. Hope there is a quick condemnation from their side. This is a major security lapse from our side and the separatists took advantage of it.

We need to Beef up our military presence on ground in Kashmir. As per reports there has been a significant decline in recruitment & deployed of military personnel. A major tourist spot like this in the middle of Kashmir should have had a tight security cover but apparently it wasn’t the case and we paid the price for it. No more complacency. Kashmir unfortunately is still not perfectly safe and separatists are looking for opportunities like these to make a statement.

India has multiple disputed territories and regions not just Kashmir.

Kashmiris may have the same opinion of financial strength of India as you did. Better to get out.

Major headache for PM Modi.
Attacks on army convoys was bad but the videos of shell shocked female victims of this incident who lost their husbands, kids etc that are circulating on the internet have put the nation on a burner. Too much anger right now and pressure on the government to do something.

Dude you need to stop on this fantastic tea posts. Ind captured 93k Pak army POWs. Let that sink in. 93000.. and am really glad that Ind released them. Would have been extremely disappointed if Ind kept them and treated them poorly.
They are soldiers fighting for their country and so are POWs and so must be treated accordingly as per geneva protocol. For every 1 fantastic tea post of yours there can be 93000 biryani post replies . See how silly and insulting that sounds to the soldiers POWs... so dont keep gloating on the fantastic tea silly ueless posts..

Brother firstly my condolences to you and your countrymen.

Secondly I can say this to you because you will not overreact and call names but the recent GOI policy towards Kashmir has been overly ambitious and papered over some cracks. Your government fooled you guys into thinking it was over. Decades long skirmish had been solved and things were normal but they overextended too quickly and too soon by thinking things were completely normal. It is a crime to think you can have internal tourism in a place where many inhabitants are reeling from war and what they feel is occupation. Your government thought the idea of financial prosperity within India would cause groups to bury the hatchet.

Now before the resident lunatics in the asylum come and call me names and say I am supporting XYZ let me reiterate I am not. I have said similar things about Balochistan. You can't solve these through military means unless grievances are understood and acted upon. One of the biggest mistakes post 9/11 was to group all groups together as religious terrorists. Sure some may be ( ISIS type) but for many the underlying root cause is something else. They have just put on the religious cloak because other avenues have failed.

I would urge respected posters to not fall into the trap of idiots like @rpant_gabba . Yes the terrorists were saying they acted for Islam...but the people who opened their mosques and homes for shelter and to rescue the wounded and give refuge also say they are motivated by the same ideology.

Strip it all away and it's a land dispute and will only get resolved by addressing the genuine grievance of people so that terrorists can't claim to be the only ones speaking on their behalf.

I am lucky I live near a part of the world where through talks and negotiations things can happen. The leader of the IRA even met the Queen! It can and will happen but until the live of a pandit is seen as the same as the live of a Muslim by both sides then the cycle will continue in Kashmir.
 
My two cents.

Balakot part 2 will happen. Modi will kill more trees in the region and the tea will taste fantastic once again for another Indian pilot.

I just want to add that to a human being even a small incident can seem like a major set back.

I had also declared 4 year truce with @rpant_gabba Bhai just yesterday but it seems he has ripped it up unilaterally after today's tragic terrorist attack in India.

I am quite disappointed but hope we can eventually move past this and return to the negotiating table in good faith.

Breaks my heart they chose this way. Modi really gave them all the development projects to support them much to the anger of many people but he really did give them all the expressways, ropeways, trains, airports etc. Someone like me who wants peace and prosperity in the region, I feel so let down. Attacking civilians and in this manner, is just so heartless. What are they trying to achieve. There will be a disproportionate retaliation and many will suffer from this. Mostly Kashmiris. This just ruined it for everyone. Absolutely gutted.
