Sorry but it meant nothing. Because the same posters have claimed that they have no issues with Indian gov providing healthcare to BLA, and even went on to justify it. Some even deny Indian govt giving benefits to BLA even after their own news agency reported it.

We don't know if pakistan was involved in this incident or not. But they harbor the leaders of the terrorist organizations. Pakistani establishment exports terrorism across the border. Until it stops India has no business talking to them for any kind treaties - be it peace, trade, or water.

Yeah many i deal with these terrorists on daily basis. They are the real snakes in the grass.

They act like your friends in front of you but they will back stab you the moment they get the opportunity. It happened to me with many of my college colleagues i used to consider them my friends but they most certainly are not.
These people are so full of hatred, that's why they enjoy whenever a child dies in Palestine.

Yes but GOI or Saudi, America or China have to deal with Pak Army COAS , there is no way around it unfortunately.

I have come to realisation everytime a Pak leader selected by the people questions the Army or their budget, chaos happens in South Asia, hopefully we just have one Pakistani Establishment ruling Pak and peace will prevail if they are never questioned.

I live in mostly hindu majority area but we have sizeable Muslim population but in situations like this it does get scary due to sheer numbers of Hindu terrorists.

They all are same make no mistake. They are snakes. They killed thousands of us during 1947 and will try to do the same whenever get the opportunity.
 
I m concerned for some of my friends who are studying outside Jammu and Kashmir.
Even Jammu can't be considered safe place either and today it's Friday hindu Terrorists might try to do some violence.

I hope they come back safely. I did talk to one of my friend. Thankfully that friend is safe. Hopefully others are safe as well.

No doubt Abdullah is incompetent leader but before blaming him you should know currently J&K is UT and police/ security is directly controlled by center. It's the incompetence of BJP that they didn't provide any security in such sensitive area.

No dear, even if J&K is UT, Army has to control border, it’s surrounding area and main areas of J&K. Now it was a state government’s duty ie Omar government’s duty to protect tourists by giving police protection. However Omar government failed to protect tourists in Pahalgam. It shows that Omar government is handinglove with terrorists.

UN urges Pakistan, India to have ‘maximum restraint’ after Pahalgam attack

The United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres has urged Pakistan and India to show “maximum restraint” as both countries imposed ***-for-tat diplomatic measures over a deadly attack in India-held Kashmir.

The attack took place in Pahalgam, a tourist hotspot in India-occupied Kashmir that draws thousands of visitors every summer. Gunmen opened fire on visitors, killing at least 26 people — all men from across India except one from Nepal — and injuring 17 others.

“The secretary general is obviously following the situation very closely and with very great concern,” his spokesman Stephane Dujarric told reporters in New York on Thursday.

“We very much appeal to both the governments… to exercise maximum restraint, and to ensure that the situation and the developments we’ve seen do not deteriorate any further.”

To a question, the spokesman said that the UN chief has not had any direct contact with the leadership of India and Pakistan.

Dujarric said: “We believe that any issues between Pakistan and India can be and should be resolved peacefully through meaningful mutual engagement.”

Specifically asked to comment on the suspension by India of the Indus Waters Treaty, Dujarric said, “I think this would go under the rubric of us appealing for maximum restraint and not taking any actions that would deteriorate the situation further or increase tensions in a tense area.”

In a briefing on Thursday, US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce also touched on the crisis brewing in South Asia.

“It’s a rapidly changing situation and we are monitoring it closely… We are not now taking a position on the status of Kashmir or Jammu,” she said, adding that this was all she had to say on the subject.

Pakistan has announced the suspension of trade and the closure of airspaces with India, among other moves, as it retaliated to New Delhi’s slew of aggressive measures against the country following the deadly attack.

Among India’s actions was the unilateral move to suspend the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty, which was brokered by the World Bank and has endured through wars and decades of hostility.

Pakistan made the retaliatory decisions during a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) in Islamabad on Thursday, convened to formulate a response to India. Chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the meeting was attended by top government and military officials, including the defence minister, foreign minister, interior minister, national security adviser, and the chiefs of armed forces, among others.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the participants of the meeting discussed the national security environment and the regional situation, particularly in the wake of the Pahalgam attack.

“Expressing concern over the loss of tourists’ lives, the committee reviewed the Indian measures announced on 23rd April 2025 and termed them unilateral, unjust, politically motivated, extremely irresponsible and devoid of legal merit,” the statement added.

The NSC announced a series of measures in retaliation to the “reckless and irresponsible behaviour of India, which disregards international conventions, UN Security Council Resolutions and international obligations at will”.

Pakistan also announced closing the Wagah Border with India.

“Pakistan shall exercise the right to hold all bilateral agreements with India including but not limited to Simla Agreement in abeyance, till India desists from its manifested behaviour of fomenting terrorism inside Pakistan; trans-national killings; and non-adherence to international law and UN Resolutions on Kashmir,” the PMO statement said.

I'm not sure if you're aware but J&K is now a Union Territory. Law and Order including J&K Police no longer falls under the authority of the Omar Abdullah government or the Legislative assembly. In fact they do not have a Home minister.

The responsibility and authority is with the Lieutenant Governor who of course is appointed by the Centre.
 

Pahalgam terror attack: 'You protect VIPs, not us,' grieving Gujarat widow blasts govt at victim's funeral​


AHMEDABAD: Grief gave way to anger on Thursday as Shailesh Himmatbhai Kalthia, one of the three Gujaratis killed in the Pahalgam terror attack, was laid to rest in Surat.

Kalthia, who was visiting Kashmir with his family, was among the victims of Tuesday’s attack. His final rites drew a large crowd of mourners, including Union Minister and Gujarat BJP President C.R. Patil.

Amid the emotional farewell, his wife Shitalben, who witnessed the attack and her husband's death, expressed her anguish and frustration. Overwhelmed by grief, she criticised the government’s VIP culture, questioning the contrast in security and resources.

“There’s nothing there, no army, no police, no facilities. But when VIPs or big leaders visit, there are dozens of cars, helicopters flying overhead. Who pays for all that? Us—the common people, the taxpayers. So why is all that service only for the VIPs and not for regular folks like us?” she asked.

Crying, she recounted the event after the attack saying, “I was shouting from the army camp below, begging them to go up and help, telling them people were injured.
