Pahalgam attack: At least 26 tourists died in the attack [UPDATE@ POST#963]

There had been a CRPF post there at Baisaran, but it had been removed and was not reinstated, even after the intelligence alert. That may be the most serious lapse of all. There was an intelligence alert too over the impending attack but nothing was done.

Heads must roll over this serious lapse but they won't.

You have to go through all the proper channels first. By the way the UN has not turned a blind eye on the massacre but rather Israeli/Americans are not listening. You can say the UN is toothless but they haven't turned a blind eye. You should see some of the speeches of Francesca Albanese.

The deceased person was identified as Gulfam, while his brother Saif Ali, who was present when they were closing the biryani eatery after the day’s business, was also shot but had a narrow escape with an injury to his neck.

The incident became a matter of public interest after two men claiming to be self-styled gau rakshaks (cow vigilantes) posted a video on Instagram claiming responsibility for shooting two Muslim men in Agra. They claimed that the shooting was to avenge the killing of 26 tourists in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir.

The United Kingdom and Russia have issued updated travel advisories for their citizens regarding travel to Pakistan, citing heightened regional tensions and security concerns in the wake of the Pahalgam attack

In a statement available on the UK government’s website, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) advised against all travel to certain parts of Pakistan and warned that travel insurance could be invalidated if citizens travel contrary to this advice.

The FCDO has advised against all but essential travel within five miles of the international border between Pakistan and India and against all travel within 10 miles of the Line of Control (LoC).

It has also issued advisories against all travel to Balochistan Province and within 10 miles of the border with Afghanistan. In addition, the FCDO has recommended avoiding travel to certain parts of India due to heightened tensions.

Meanwhile, the Russian Embassy in Pakistan has urged its citizens to avoid traveling to Pakistan until the regional situation stabilizes. The advisory calls on Russian nationals to postpone any travel plans until tensions subside and stability is restored.

According to the embassy, the guidance was issued in light of escalating tensions between Pakistan and India, as well as inflammatory remarks by officials that have contributed to regional uncertainty.

These developments come as the diplomatic crisis between India and Pakistan deepens. Earlier this week, India’s Ministry of External Affairs announced the immediate suspension of visa services for Pakistani nationals and halted cooperation under the Indus Waters Treaty.

The move follows what Indian officials have described as a terrorist attack targeting Hindu tourists at the Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam, located in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The attack claimed the lives of 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen, leaving several others injured.

In response, Pakistan’s National Security Committee (NSC) warned that any attempt by India to block water flow into Pakistan would be considered an act of war. The warning came after a high-level NSC meeting, which also approved the closure of the Wagah border crossing.

On Friday, Pakistan’s Senate unanimously passed a resolution rejecting India’s allegations linking Pakistan to the Pahalgam attack, describing the claims as baseless and politically motivated.

May be Stop Celebrating Attacks By BLA and stop inviting Separatists on your TV Shows and openly boast about Assassinations that happened in Pak in last few months before trying to make us feel bad about 26 dead last week. Pakistani Establishment was busy controlling its own people and had lost all the love it had in public. There Was no need to fuel the fire on our western borders by Supporting TTP and BLA .. Kashmir was in relative peace. But Stupid Indians gave another reason for our so called Establishment to become relevant.. You play stupid Games you win stupid Prizes

Security forces cannot be there at every place.
Remember they only need to succeed once to cause max damage.

What is surprising is the terrorists crossed the border once again. Pretty sure they have a big local network to quickly transport them back to safe location. All preplanned.

The tough part is, how do you separate innocent from a Terrorist? It’s hard unless the police informers get to know about them.

I have been observing both Indian and Pakistani media for years. Initially, I believed that Pakistani media was the worst in the world. However, after watching Indian news shows, I must say that Pakistani media now seems calm and relaxing by comparison. Even the female anchors in India are more aggressive than their male counterparts in Pakistan. They scream and yell incessantly. They invite guests but do not allow them to speak, subjecting them to abuse and threats. They have even created studio setups resembling war rooms. Can you believe this? What world are these individuals living in?
 
I posted this in another thread also. Just watch from 04:30. I can't believe what I am watching. And this major has millions of viewers in India. And the lady is no better either.

In the UK this would be seen as a prank , satire or comedy pretending to be news . Its imitating the general mentality of the population, cry , scream , spew obscenities, watch a b grade movie and go sleep. Journalism is to present factual information, this is more entertainment.
Thankfully we have the internet and those who want facts can see different sources and opinions to determine what is true or not.

Its modern day global economics 101 . Everyone must work together for a prosperous future for their kin to come.

Pakistan and Bangladesh can be far more valuable to india than all Arab nations if good relations are born, vice versa for them .

There are Indian Muslims right now being attacked or discriminated, they are the only muslims who need to worry, the rest have no danger or worry from hindutva fanatics.

Not all killed were hindus, no killer has been caught or made a video alluding to this. Occupying soldiers are attacked regardless of ther faith..

Only hindutva extremism is pushing this narrative. It's an excuse to continue their oppression.

It's likely this is a separatist revenge attack after occupying troops killed or raped someone's family. The cycle of violence is due to indian state and army actions .

Only tourists were targeted. There were no soliders in that attack. AFAIK, one muslim was killed (RIP) when he tried to snatch gun from terrorist. Tourists were segregated as Hindus and Muslims and killed Hindu men only.



The survivors are saying this not some made up propoganda. What narrative are you talking about? Hindus were killed becasue they were Hindus, there is no if and buts here. It a religious based terror attack. Only men were targetted so that living victims can tell about their ordeal.

The tourists were all vast majority hindus . I can't understand that language but there is no need . This is another separatist attack, it's normally soldiers but this time tourists because of the occupation. If they wanted to target hindus for being Hindus, they'd have gone to the kumbh mela .

I agree brother religion should have no place in this but unfortunately that is just the way it works in the sub continent.

Also yes it is much more beneficial if India and Pakistan can work together but that can never be achieved. This has nothing to do with PM Modi, Pakistan and India has always been hostile no matter which Indian government was in charge, the Mumbai attack was the worst terrorist incident that has happened on Indian soil and that was under Monmohan Singh...

Just the fact the Arab leaders from the UAE and Saudi etc are very keen on establishing strong ties with PM Modi should be enough to open Pakistani eyes, world doesn't work like the Pakistanis see it, unfortunately they choose to remain blind...

The train incident where BLA folks Executed innocent civilians after checking their ID cards and Geography , is same blue print which Kashmiris did last week to Hindus.
