The Pakistan side will be looking for revenge after England comprehensively beat them a couple of days ago at the same venue.

Yes it is about time we brought the Lions back down to earth.

We had a very good start with the bat in the last match but 3-4 quick wickets pegged us back.

Talha needs to improve his bowling. He has been a disappointment so far in this series ( against UAE and Lions judging from the scorecards only though)
 
Why isn't Shahzaib Hasan opening today? or cricinfo joking as usual?

Must be cricinfo, it's definitely Shahzaib now, he is 3 no off 4 balls.

This is what he said to you some days ago:

There's a certain amount of confusion as to Wahab's status when it comes to the Pakistan versus Pakistan "A" encounter, as Wahab has of course been named in both squads. "I join up with the Pakistan senior team on 14th February when they arrive in the UAE and then I rejoin the Pakistan "A" squad after the senior team has rerturned to Pakistan. I'm not sure which team I will be asked to represent when they square off against each other, but of course I hope it's the Pakistan senior team".

I am sure we have better players available then what we have out there who is selecting these teams.

Very poor captain and very poor player. His antics in the warm up game were shameful he should never play for Pakistan again.
 
players like mohammed hafeez are unlikely to play for the senior team so what is the point in selecting him for the A squad. The thought process in selection is just bizarre.
 
i remember when Muhammmd hafeez came to Australia.....2004/205.....................He never crossed the circle..and commentators were making fun of him aying how can he make up to the national team???????????who is his uncle......................the other replied its definitly not Miandad............lol

That is atleast what the selectors think.

Guys like Nasir Jamshed, Umar Amin, Afaaq raheem and some of the u19 players would have done better than these guys.

Its a rubbish squad. What do you expect when you have someone like Mohammad Hafeez captaining the side.

Players like Nasir Jamshaid, Azhar Ali, Naved Yasin deserved a go ahead of some of the strange selections in this squad.
 
This Kieswetter has played for South Africa u19s.

England is slowly stealing all the talent from SA and Ireland.
 
this is t20...we will know abt them when odi comes ......even pak look good in t20s but we know where we stand in real cricket
 
PCB is really corrupt, we always hadgreat squads for A team, if these are our fall back players. God help us
 
Pakistan C sucks big time. Why is Talha included in Pakistan's squad? He was hammered by England Lions. And look at his limited overs domestic record, it's 33 and economy rate almost 6. and only 8 wickets from 7 t20 matches. what the f***?

these were the best players selected for odi according to their performances....t20 is different.....and its not cricket.....odi will be the real test of these players....but i dont expect anything different from fans tht gives more credit to t20s than odis
 
Moreover if you see the profiles/record of some of these guys, it is just shocking! Umair Khan, Aamer Sajjad, Kashif Siddiq.

Many, many of the players in this A squad is around 30 years.

Are we talking about a Pakistan team? Our senior team is younger than this A team!

What are you talking about brother?

We have T20 matches and ODI matches on this tour. You don't just pick players for one of these formats, besides we are not talking aout T20 and tests, but t20 and ODIs. Shouldn't be that much of a different.
 
these guys performed the best in domestic this year and deserves their spot
 
t20 is not cricket......they are selected for odi based on their four day format performance as it was the only way to judge thier form coz no odi tournament was played b4 this tournament.

Umair Khan averages 13.55 in First Class cricket. He averages 6 in List A matches and 7 in t20.

Kahshif Siddiq averages 25+ in List A matches.

Explain this.

Dont forget Naeem Anjum the keeper who is so good that he is playing as a specialist batsman today. averaging 22 in the land of flat tracks.
 
Umair khan looks a doubful selection but he scored around 250 runs in 3 matches in this pentangular....so mite be selected but there were better option like usman arshad but then he scored a hundred as well and a 50.....aamer sajjad,naved yasin,asad shafiq, abil ali, and others deserve it...only 1 or 2 doubtful selections
 
Another exceptional bowling performance from Adil Rashid. Has he suddenly improved ? Has Mushy put him right ?

I know I am very negative today, but all this frustration is because of the current PCB circus!!!

Maybe so that is the case. Hauritz was made to like a demon by Pakistan when he was only average mediocre orthodox material. That is a prime example.
 
This "A" side is such a poor side. Not many players deserve to have their place in this line up.

No Tahir Khan, Mansoor Amjad, Mohammad Irfan, Raza Hassan, Sohail Khan, Zulqarnain Haider, Ahmed Shahzad, Shahid Yousuf etc

I am a keen and commited follower of Pakistani cricket happenings and still so many of these names are unknown to me in the current line up.
