Only in Pakistan cricket , the specialist batter is made to cover the 5th bowler’s quota, while the so-called all-rounder Faheem Ashraf goes about Playing entire matches without rolling his arm over. Selection genius or just comedy at this point?

agreed and we are carrying Muhammad Wasim in Squad who can be much better bowler than Faheem , Can be better option with Bat too if given enough chances he can grow into that role. By Ignoring Abbas Afridi and Amir Jamal , PCB is doing great Injustice. Faheem has had his chances

and he does not bowl. I remember against WI in First T20 he was expensive in power play , Captain did nt use him again. More often than not he does nt bowl unlike conditions favour him or opposition is nt taking him on

Hesson has worked in IPL extensively As an RCB team coach he did not pay attention to team depth one bit a reason why they did not win for 18 years. Teams like CSK, KKR had great depth. Imagine Dwayne bravo coming at no.9 to bat for CSK. That formula worked for those teams. He is trying to replicate here. Gambhir did the same with KKR by promoting Narine to open and elongate the depth. He is trying to replicate here by having Faheem bat at 8. But unlike Bravo who was certifiably good death bowler and a great finisher Faheem is none of it. When you pick a player you need to have a clear purpose.

i understand the plan. But not the selection as you pointed out. we have couple of possible options to replace faheem with same role. Amir Jamal and Abbas Afridi. Both can bat and bowl much better than Faheem

Hesson is playing Faheem for 10-15 runs that he adds at 8. Those 10-15 can be added by anyone of Harris Rauf, Shaheen, Naseem, Wasim jr, Abbas Afridi etc.

His selection makes no sense. Sooner this n league parchi is kicked out the better.

The moment Saim is expected to bowl four overs he will start failing as a bowler too. It is easy to chip in few overs when there is not much expectations about your bowling or opposition is not coming with plan against you. He is primarily a batsman and all this talk of turning him into an all-rounder will result in he going Irfan Pathan's way

Saim is turning into an Afridi-type batter in terms of DUcks..... 7 ducks for him so far if I am not wrong.
