Pakistan (146/9) secure a 41-run victory against UAE (105) and qualify for the Super Four of the Asia Cup 2025

Two options. Keep Haris at 3 and make the whole team suffer or sanity.

Hopefully team management will go to this make-the-best-out-of-what-we-have team.

Pakistan should beat them comfortably like they did in the tri-series.

I am sick of these Tatti kumars and their politicizing of every cricket match. The Pakistani timid players need to call out these smelly pajeets and play like men. This breed of Pakistani cricketers is simply disgusting

Not dumb decision. Match Referee broke the spirit of the game and was involved with Indian team on this no handshake manner. If he was a proper referee he would've reported Indian teams behavior to ICC.

ICC here has made a dumb mistake by ruining the whole Asia Cup just because of one Referee.
 
I think boycott would be a good idea because this tournament has been farcical due to India's antics. Even schedulings and groupings have been farcical.

Last 3 years, all the ICC events/Asia Cups have been a farce due to India.
 
Will be interesting to see the reason PCB and Mohsin Naqvi gives for today's boycott.

If the reason is the last game then surely Pakistan will now have to boycott all Indian matches going forward, even in ICC events.

If the reason is Andy Pycroft then Pakistan will have to boycott all their future games on all stages where Pycroft is involved.

Either way by boycotting this match PCB has effectively restricted their circle of circumstances in which they are willing to play Cricket.
 
Childish too from ICC to not change the match referee..

Sony will not be happy now as 1 Ind-Pak less and obviously that what they paid for

BCCI has been mixing politics with cricket for years, and the way they shut doors on our players was pure humiliation. And you still expect us to run after them just to play?

Yes, our team is weak right now — so what? That doesn’t mean we should bow down and accept disrespect every single time. Losing matches is one thing, losing dignity is another.

If PCB loses money, fine — but BCCI will also bleed financially. Enough is enough. From now on, boycott is the only answer. If we’re losing to them anyway, at least let’s lose with dignity instead of being treated like beggars for a handshake.
 
Pakistan scared of facing India now...running away.

Good decision because another humilation on 21st Sep can be catastrophic for Mohsin Naqvi.
 
All countries should go home. It has been a terrible tournament thanks to India.

The schedulings and groupings have been farcical.

For example, India had 3-4 days gap between games. Other countries had shorter gaps.

Also, what's up with putting PAK and IND in same group and BD, AFG, and SL in another group? Why the same groupings every time? Why can't they mix it up? :inti

Few reports suggest icc was happy to get another referee but pcb demanded apology from pycroft .icc denied it.icc may issue the explanation and some other foreign journalists may throw the light.
 
This is a great excuse for an incompetent board and team to avoid accountability by doing such dramas and play victim card, I bet some of the folks would call it a Brave Decision by PCB, so PCB succeeded in creating a Tough Guy Image despite being a bunch of incompetent cowards. If you have guts, face the Indians on the ground and win the match to shut them up but even Pakistan realise it's out of their ability so taking an easy way out. I hope the news is not true, but if it is then PCB has become a joke under Naqvi.

its not about image. PCB requested the removal of a Match Referee which was not entertained.

Time for you to submit. See if Pakistan is boycotting that means we must narrow down man of the tournament to onpy 2 games that Pakistan played in which Haris was the only Pakistani player who got Man of the match and the highest score of 66.

If he has done it pcb must have done a press release saying everything is sorted out and normal service will resume for next super 4 group match against india.its quite a good positive impression for naqvi .I dont think it happened.

This is fake bravado & 100 percent pointless.

You have no plan to manage such issues or any guidelines so this will surely backfire. Let's imagine India does the same action in the world cup, then what will you do? Will you boycott the world cup on such flimsy premise.

You are already a pariah in the cricketing fraternity. The brand that you play is outdated, you are struggling in every single format, & you are throwing toys out of the pram. It's ironic because brother in law is actually the head of ACC and he's hellbent on ruining Pakistan's place in ACC & the cricketing world.

Kal ko blog ho rahay houn gay, woh ji Amran Khan supporter Wasim Khan didn't suspend Pycroft to malign Pakistan so ji sb qasoor Amran Khan ka hi hai.

Not bcz of handshake but because match referee was not changed. Cricket has always been a gentleman game, and Pakistan clearly do not want someone, who breaches the sportsmanship code of conduct and mix dirty politics with such a pretty game.

Surya be shaking hands with Naqvi with a cheerful smile. Hypocrisy at peak. Same people who were abusing him with trending hashtags on X against him, ab chand pe pohncha dya :D

All onto ICC Chairman Mr. Jay Shah now.

He needs to step in immediately to replace Pycroft for this match. Only he can save this Asia Cup now.
