Pakistan cannot be casual here like they were against New Zealand

Pakistan have given about 20-25 runs more than they should’ve.
Fakhar will be the key, short boundary for the lefty’s. Pakistan need to start off well.

Need to get as many runs in powerplay and not be cautious before spinners come

Tough chase coming up, cant afford slow start like the last game. Also players like babar and Fakhar need to play spin better.

Bowling was poor today - specifically from Hasan and Rauf. Gave far too many runs at the back end.

Need to get off to a solid start with the bat. We don't want to be behind the game when the spinners bowl after the powerplay.

Imad said that the ball was stopping earlier but in the latter half of the innings but was coming on to the bat well later on.

This is the thing. It's not just the dew. The wicket just seems to settle in a bit better after 10 overs or so and then just gets better and better to bat regardless of dew.

Malik and Hafeez are the key here. Won't expect much from Fakhar or Asif Ali they're both vulnerable against spin. Pakistan should have bowled hafeez couple of overs, Hassan wouldn't have to bowl that horrible over at the end.

Imad’s importance to this team should never be overlooked. Without his bowling both New Zealand and Afghanistan would have scored 20 more runs than they did. He is essential

Pakistani have bowled very poorly today. I think Afghanistan might burst Pakistan's bubble tonight.

This is gonna be a cracker of match although pakistan Should win this without any hiccups but it's pakistan they will make a match of this one.

The pitch looks good. It would be an easy chase for Pakistan.

However, for the next match Hassan Ali should be dropped. Can we play Dahani? When are travel reserves eligible to play?

If Pakistan can complete the PP at 45/50 with 0 wickets, that’s the start we need. Not 25/30 runs at the end of the PP

As much as I wanted to chase a lower score - still think we are favorites. Doesn’t seem like there are too many demons in this pitch.

Pakistan has the right batsmen and temperament. Their solid openers with good players if spin in the middle overs gives them the edge.

I guess we'll see if our batting line up is actually any good beyond the two openers today.

Shoaib Malik is the key here. He plays the spinners the best.

If Babar and Riz fail match will be over for us. If Afghan win by 30 runs they can go to semi. Afghan 55 Pak 45.

The ball seems like its coming onto the bat better than we've seen in past games.

Sensible batting by Rizwan. It's not a big total. Just need to keep wickets in hand and it will never get out of hand

playing against Afg
if they cant bat fast and use the PP to hit the boundaries

what are they going to do when chasing a big score
need to show some enthusiasm and bat aggressive

instead of 1s in the PP

Zaman will fall quick

he won't use his brain and slog it
Babar will slow down

poor start

Why is Fakhar coming in...

Their off-spinners are bowling and Fakhar struggles against that.

I feel like the plan should be to rotate strike vs the spinners, go after the fast bowlers.

What is Pakistan’s game plan here?

Are they hoping to target 10 an over in the last 10?

Unlike the contests against India and NZ, I felt Pakistan didn't have the same focus in their bowling. Barring Shaheen, who was once again outstanding, I feel the contest got the better off our bowlers, who did not play with their heads.

If we bowled like this against India, we would have conceded at least 200.
