Pakistan (173) suffer back to back defeats as New Zealand (194/8) win 2nd T20I by 21 runs

I will.

It is my duty to spread the truth. Will do it until my very last breath.

we need to give azam whole series before discarding him . He is low on confidence . Let’s see and make a final decision on him after remaining 3 games . Ifti however has got plenty of chances

He wants to take the game deep and trusts himself to take down any bowler NZ have at the right time. He's just scored back to back 50 to shut any debate about his form and greatness.
How did that work out for him. He lost pakistan the match when he failed to show initiative and let other batsmen take the risk and get out. All he cared about was his useless 50 and only after that did he start showing initiative

lol Usama... this guy is so bad & useless. I don't even know what he is good at. Bad fielder, can't bat, can't bowl. He bowls like 4 half trackers per over.

What is this fight about ? 169/9
I have no clue. The guy came into the match thread to tell me that Rizwan is Pakistan’s GOAT keeper batsman.

You should no by now, rubbish will not fly by me here.

Pakistan slowed down after going well for first 7 overs, Babar saw an opportunity to score a useless fifty and started batting slowly. Useless statsapdder.

Fakhars wicket changed the game. Babar is an unimpactful soft run scoring looser

Nawaz , Usama , Iftikar are so depressing. No talent, no guts, no awareness. They are not worthy of representing Pakistan

Both these games were winnable games. Our players are not standing up and Babar's lack of power game is costing Pakistan

Hard to win a big chase when your middle order batsmen are batting like tailenders.

This loss is on Azam Khan and Ifthikar.

You’re coming in with a required run rate under 10 and get out cheaply. All we needed was one more partnership with Babar from either of the two…
Ifthikhar is flop. Pakistan needs to move on from him

New Zealand is 2-0 up in the 5-match T20 series against Pakistan. Whitewash coming?

PAK are, by default , the best T20 side by virtue of being the most talented cricketing nation.

These bilateral series don't mean much when they start as overwhelming favourites in the Caribbean.

Well we all know that babar doesn’t have that 5th gear that’s perhaps why the mgt thought of having sloggers around him, these sloggers in Ifti n Azam have failed in 2 games in a row now hence the result. Babar at least is doing his part which is to hold one end tight, it’s the others around him who are falling like a pack of cards.

If the solution to pak batting woes is to drop Babar then I think we shd just close pak cricket for a decade or 2 to save our selves the embarrassment..

Black Caps beat Pakistan by 21 runs in Twenty20 at Seddon Park, Hamilton

T20 international, Seddon Park, Hamilton: New Zealand 194-8 (Finn Allen 74 from 41 balls; Haris Rauf 3-38 from 4 overs) beat Pakistan 173 all out in 19.3 overs (Babar Azam 66 from 43 balls, Fakhar Zaman 50 from 25; Adam Milne 4-33 from 4 overs) by 21 runs. Click here for full scoreboard

New Zealand’s most talked-about T20 cricketer had tongues wagging on Sunday night for all the good reasons.

Seventy four of them to be specific, as opener Finn Allen pumped the Pakistan bowling attack to and over the Seddon Park boundary with rapid regularity as the Black Caps scored a 21-run victory in Hamilton.

The hosts made tougher work of it than necessary, by dropping two simple catches and allowing Pakistan’s two most dangerous batters second lives which almost proved costly.

Captain Babar Azam used his reprieve to get to 66 from 43 balls, but he ran out of support as New Zealand recovered well enough to grab a 2-0 advantage in the five-game series, after winning the series-opener by 46 runs at Eden Park on Friday night.

Allen’s place in the Black Caps T20 XI has often been questioned by fans, due to a lack of regular runs and an inability to often bat past the PowerPlay.

He made 34 from 15 balls in Auckland on Friday night, and as outlined by Stuff cricket writer Andrew Voerman earlier in the day, an average Allen T20 international innings prior to his Hamilton hammering lasted just 14 balls – the second-lowest mark of the 56 opening batters who have played as many innings as the 24-year-old.

But Sunday evening’s blitz, hitting five sixes and seven fours from 41 balls, was his fourth-longest stay at the crease in 37 T20I innings and was the decisive factor when the night ended.

Initially, there were a couple of heart-stopping moments for Allen, but he deposited Haris Rauf’s second ball towards Tristram Street and from then on – until he was bowled comprehensively by Usama Mir’s wrong-un – he looked every part the devastating top-order presence he has occasionally promised to be on longer and more regular occasions.

Among the sixes, there was a hugely-encouraging controlled on-drive for four off Rauf, and he followed it up at the end of the over with a lofted straight drive for six.

Home team skipper Kane Williamson also looked in excellent touch as he got to 26 from just 15 balls, but tight hamstrings ended his night prematurely at the drinks break when he retired, with Tim Southee taking over the captaincy.

His departure from the crease – and some quality bowling from the visitors – slowed New Zealand’s race to what looked destined to be a second consecutive 200-plus total, and speedster Rauf’s three wickets in his final over would have lifted Pakistan’s spirits heading into the break.

Fakhar Zaman, a devastating left-handed six-hitter, was dropped by Ben Sears at short fine leg off Adam Milne’s bowling when he had yet to score, and when a simple grab would have seen the tourists three wickets down within the opening two overs of their chase of New Zealand’s 194-8.

Sears was later the bowler left pondering further misfortune when Mark Chapman spilt another gift at backward point from the bat of Babar, when he was on 27 and looking capable of combining with Fakhar to strike the side to success.

Milne got due reward when Fakhar (50 from 25 balls with five sixes and three fours) dragged on a short delivery outside off onto his stumps, the ball after bringing up his half-century.

But Babar hadn’t given up on his quest to bring his team home, keeping the tension about until he skied Sears into the safe hands of the stand-in skipper with three overs to play.

Williamson was already going to miss game three in Dunedin on Wednesday, but is still likely to rejoin the squad for the final two matches in Christchurch.

Chacha , Azam, Jamal and Usama needs to replaced in next game

Farhan , Haseeb , Wasim and Sadly Nawaz needs to come in

What does Chacha have on the selectors and why do they think he is the second coming of Afridi?

Is it cos he grew up with the likes of Zaka Ashraf and Najam Sethi and they are childhood friends? The mind boggles as to why this hack is given chance , after chance...

Nawaz in playing11 and performing in next 3 games is the recipe for disaster. Just when I thought this guy wd be history after World Cup here he’s staking a claim for world t20 selection.

I would rather lose all 5 games with Osama than play Nawaz ..

It's like when you used to play as kids in the park and then an Uncle came and wanted to play as well and you couldn't say no due to respect....and they were always awful...same here

Always said KIA players were never good so after Kushdil and Asif Ali being expised, surprise taking Pakistan to understand Iftikhar will never succeed in international cricket.

It is always poor selection that costs Pakistan, Usama, Azim. And Iftikhar have repeatedly shown in all opportunities given to them they are hopeless, yet we go with them first up , now keep having to play them in the name of being fair to them. Yet likes of Zaman and Wasim are easily ignored despite reasonable performances in the game they did play for Pakistan.

Haseebullah cant do much..chacha needs to be given the spinners role..let him bowl.get rid of ur ao called main spinners..

Following the defeat in the 2nd T20I against New Zealand, Pakistan's T20I captain Shaheen Shah Afridi shared his thoughts in the post-match conference:

"To be honest, bowling first is always tricky. You can try to go for swing to get wickets, but we didn’t get any. Had we got early wickets, we could have kept them down to around 170. I think we came back strong with the ball, Haris and Abbas bowled really well, even Usama Mir."

Both these games were winnable games. Our players are not standing up and Babar's lack of power game is costing Pakistan
No, lack of any sort of game from your so called powerhitters costed pakistan both the games.

Pakistan management should swallow their pride and bring Imad Wasim back. Along with Shadab Khan that adds a bit of steel to that batting.

Those two guys coming in at 6 and 7, with Jamal at 8 is a very strong Lower MO.

What you guys do with your players is so strange. Even kept Fakhar Zaman out.

Somewhere in 2005,Greg chappel brought a baseball coach to improve the power hitting of indian players especially dravid.what is pak mgmnt doing for babar and others.Babar can't be called as a professional if he doesn't want to improve his game.

Azam, Ifti, Aamer, Usama need to be dumped forever. Even Zimbabwe can beat this useless team.
They will continue to play the next game as well....

Azam khan - Moin bhai ka beta quota
Ifti - friends with big guys Rizbar and Shaheen
Aamer - golden boy from the tests and speaks good english , if they lose a match can sit in pressos
Usama - only leg spinner destined to play and fill Shadabs void..

Its a dysfunctional board and team, nothing more to expect than 5-0

Never seen Babar finishing it in style. Either departs early or playing an inconsequential knock which only boosts how own average.
He is not the only one in the team.... The middle order and lower MO has been non-existent in the LOIs ever since Mickey left on 2019 , 4 years now and still the same... Misbah brought in Ifthi chachu and has played zillion matches never seen this 20 avg player to win matches with a 50 or 100 in LOIs in the last 4 years...

Today again it was well set for both Ifthi and Azam to cement their places and win games... a 30 off 20 balls would have made the diff atleast by one of them.... When will the time come to kick out gully mohalla batters and replace them with proper batters..

It took nearly 20 games to lose to get rid of Asif ali..

The only way iftikhar was making this team is if he was boing at least 2 overs every game. Playing him as Batsman purely is criminal to say the least. He just doesn’t belong there..
He is a nothing player, Misbah his friend brought him in after sacking Mickey in 2019, ever since then he is in the team played 100s of matches and still the same gully mohalla batsman....

In LOIs , middle order and lower middle order has been non-existent ever since the 2019 CWC , until they address this and fix it with a reliable no.5 batsman instead of bits and pieces they can win matches against top teams.

The way they have won games was when the top 3 or 4 scored the bulk of runs.. Ifthikar has been riding on for a lon time without any match winning knocks in excess of 50 or 100

What I didn't understand is ... When Shadab was playing in WC, every one criticized him and demanded Abrar as a replacement. When the replacement was done, again Shadab is being called for as a replacement for Abrar. Pakistan should realize that it is either Shadab or Abrar, their spin department is toothless and it doesn't matter who is playing.

In the beginning of the series , I did say Azam will be exposed again in this series.

He has some serious flaws in his batting to survive in intl cricket, I think he has played 10 matches so far and still struggling to score even 20 runs , he is avg 2.33 in intl cricket

He can get away in league cricket against trundles , not in intl cricket.

Lol Imad Wasim glad that he retired , in 7 games in Bbl he took 4 wickets and made 28 runs in total 😂 😂 😂

Usama Mir isn't international cricket material.
That should be realised when he was bowling in nets itself, I don’t know what these coaches are there for just watch at players in nets and never judge their abilities. Did they learn anything for playing the game for so many years

How come this guy won 2 PSL trophies , may be PSL is below all other leagues and not a competitive tournament

In T20s Shadab Khan is worth it
