In 2023 WC he played the first match and then missed 4 matches in a row due to injury and Pak lost those 4 matches in a row. He came back and won 2 matches on his own.

In 2024, Pak messed up with making him a middle order batsman.

In Champions trophy he was again injured after the first match.

In short, T20 or Odi, Fakhar should have been the opener since 2017. He has been stuck in pre-2011 Rohit Sharma like situation. The guy is responsible for the only ICC trophy win in last 16 years.
