Pakistan A beat England Lions in 1st unofficial T20 by 7 wickets

Iftikhar Ahmed owned all those fans who declared him as a hack after 2 innings :))

Even our main bowling unit is poor. We won because of our batting. All are equipped with just basic skill set and no x-factor.

Good win for Pakistan A and good to see Babar in the runs again. Iftikhar got runs but I think he's international material.

I am at that stage in my cricketing watching experience that i'll take any win against anyone.

Right now if we play a series of 30 matches against bermuda, usa, japan, mogadeshu, somalia, brazil and we win, i'll still be happy

Both teams quite strong with a few internationals either side.

Notables from the game, Junaid Khan bowled economically going under six. Bilal Asif picked up a couple of wickets.

Iftikhar Ahmad and Babar Azam (who bizarrely again was batting at number five) scored fifties and winning the game.
 
Junaid Khan is a lucky captain lol! He had won the Pentangular List A cup as well as a captain! He will win this series as well!
 
Babar Azam should be at 3 in the absence of Haris Sohail in ODIs as well as T20Is! Iftikhar Ahmed deserved and should have been in the squad for T20Is only! Not ODIs! The selectors had messed up his selection!
 
Maqsood failing again this time against England A bowling attack. Wish people would stop naming him in their fantasy XIs now, he's way out of nick.

I agree, this is his true level. But we need him according to some 'cos "aggression".

Not much aggression can be done from the pavilion.

I don't like these type of excuses, if a team performs good, fans should give them credit. English pacers were much better and quicker than ours. And they deserved the win.
 
Maqsood is a good prospect but now taking jamshed way... does his weight loss an issue same like jamshed..weight loss became an issue for misbah too... for pak batsmen weight loss seems to be an issue.. another in the line is haris sohail hopefully he doesnt lose any weight, by the look at him he looks ok.. can gradually reduce 1-2 kilos a month...

I posted one comment about the lions bowling unit and look at the response from fans. I already gave credit to Babar but I felt Iftikhar is not an international material.

If you guys have mistaken it was the match thread and I have nowhere to post about England lions team.
 
irfan, anwar ali, sohail tanvir,is weaker than the lineup that pak A had...James Vince who was the MOS in the T20 was bowled today...AAMER YAMIN also took jason roy in the only game he played... seems like a good newball bowler and also good allrounder... aamer yamin should be invested instead of anwar ali and bilawal bhatti..

Maqsood has been lucky compared to U Akmal in a sense that he got chances to bat at 3 for Pakistan but still has failed so far! Not saying that U Akmal is a success etc just pointing out this luck!
 
Good to see Yamin and Asif get wickets with the ball and Babar Azam showing he is a class act with the bat and needs to be given a defined role at international level rather then been messed around and switching batting positions all the time.

how many times.. only first 2 matches, where he scored fighting fifties and that too against SA in that series hafeez was steyn's bunny and then to accomodate hafeez and MYK he is pushed back to no.4 ,5 ,6 and even 7.. now struggling to put bat on ball...TBH bad comparison..

He got 2 chances against Zimbabwe as well recently! In T20Is!
 
Yamin is a better bowler than Anwar. Yamin can swing the ball a bit which is something Anwar can't do. The fact that Afridi only played him once in the T20 series and then didn't even let him finish his overs in the match that he played says a lot about his captaincy.

thats not the point.. when a young batsman showed maturity and bat like none of the seniors did against SA at no.3 why was he dropped no. 4,5,6 and 7... pak have talent but they all go wasted like this... babar azam showing glimpses of talent, mark my words when there is change of power at the chairman level or coach level he will be same like maqsood now..
 
Same team next game.

For the 3rd T20, Sharjeel/Mir should get a look-in if Shahzaib/Rumman fail.

Afridi is such a pain in the behind. It's no secret that he plays his best buds above playing the best players...Sohail Sobers above Yamin; pathetic.

Everyone's crap on that team except Babar. Idiotic selectors have no clue who to select and then they complain about the results.

:)) Irritates me just as much as it does you. I think I put 2014 because I think all of my usernames on PC games at the time were Belawal 2014, so it was easier to remember.

Coming back to Babar Azam, it'll be interesting to see where his career goes from here. The talent is surely there as it was/is for his cousin Chota Akmal. What remains to be seen is if he can convert that talent in to runs for Pakistan. He's off to a good start so far, let's hope he carries on.

yeah okay, do well on these fun practice games and win but when it comes to ranked games play like circus clowns and show your true colors, sounds good.
