why did u follow this meaningless game? what if pak A had won? atlesst appreciate that another team won. it was a friendly match, was meant to bring peace and brotherhood to both countries. no need for such posts.

Well done Afghanistan - shame on ICC for only allowing 10 teams at the 2019 WC, it discriminates against the likes of Afghanistan who are progressing nicely.

From the refugee camps to the cricket fields, its certainly an incredible journey against a very strong Pakistan A side.

If Afghanistan is good enough - strong enough they will qualify. The top 8 teams qualify directly, so most likely Zimbabwe and Bangladesh will be fighting for the remaining 2 spots against Afghanistan, Ireland and the other top associates.

Considering Afghanistan already have won ODI against Bangladesh and drawn 2-2 against Zimbabwe they should have a fair chance of qualification. The qualification tournament is held in Bangladesh, so the conditions won't be far from Ideal for them.

afghanistan under 19 beat kuwait under19 by over 200 runs. they won 5 out of 5 matches in the tournament and qualified for 2016 under19 worldcup.

Now its time to for someone to open a thread stating how much better Afghanistan are than Bangladesh and that they will thrash us 9 times out of 10 particularly in our meeting in the next ICC World Cup.

Im not surprised. I know I can think of a hundred other things to do that watch a second string Pakistan side play against the Afghan minnows in a meaningless friendly.

Wonder if the opinions would have been different if Pakistan had won the match, you would have seen, Afghanistan what did you expect you cant beat Pakistan even with their half strength.

Pakistan A was closer to being a full strength team compared to Afghanistan. So many people on this forum are harping on for the inclusion of Nasir Jamshed and Bilawal Bhatti, they want Shoaib Maqsood to be groomed as a captain. Irfan and Gul are experienced international bowlers and Raza Hasan is touted as being the next best spin talent. It is a worrying sign if a minnow beat a team consisting of these players.

TBF 4 out of the 5 teams you played are of a dreadful standard, Nepal the exception.

Great win for Afghanistan this though, and anyone attempting to brush it away as a once off is wrong.
