What's new

Pakistan continue domination of West Indies with a 82-run win to take a 2-0 lead in 3-match series

I would not take any Pakistan batsmen performance against this West Indies team seriously; this West Indies team is not international standard

Lol! Even Ramiz saying Talat style is like young Yuvraj

Ok i agree this is a very small step to bringing cricket back to Pak but this is just comically bad

You've to keep your feet on the ground and your eyes on the stars. Sarfraz doing so completely makes sense, as he rarely scores.

Yea but they don't do it anymore. Only after their first few fifties.

Kohli used to do it as well when he was young. But doesn't anymore.

Also remember this is T20 so you don't even get a chance to score a hundred most of the time.

Talat has got the temperament I have no doubt that he cant replicate these performances against Ind, Sa, Aus

Can he not improve

Smh at some of you people.

Yes he can but we've seen this all too many times. He doesn't strike me as someone who can blast the ball all around the park like some of the batsman in other international sides. We need a solid hitter like Afridi that has ability to change the game in 1 over and I think that's what Mickey is looking for here too. Against this side Hafeez would've made a century but we all know what happens when he plays a stronger side.

Fakhar
Babar
Talat

And our top 3 looks another level

Tell me one batsman who immediately came into international cricket and started blasting around the best bowlers.

Batsmen take time to develop. Even Kohli at the start of his career was pretty much a minnow basher.

NOOO

Wanted him to score a hundred and secure his spot for at least 4 years

Is it me or does Talat batting style is very similar to young suraish Raina??? Just hoping he isn't as horrible vs short pitch stuff but as clutch as him in big matches.

End of an excellent innings.

He keeps this up and an ODI spot is just around the corner.

So many negative posters are out there. There are very few posters who talk positively

Not trying to be negative, I'm actually delighted to see him in the international side. What I'm trying to point towards is our lack of hitting talent, we expected with PSL that we can find some quality hitters because that's lacking for Pakistan during crunch moments.

Yep. People are comparing him with Yuvi for some reason. Yuvi was easy on the eye. Talat's style is a bit labored like Raina's

People calling him just another pak bat who is doing well against a minnow team most likely didn't see his innings. In recent time I have rarely seen a pak batsman playing the kind of shots with such confidence as he did. For example a four off a well bowled yorker.

Though his basic technique is decent and seems can survive at this level . But he need to improve if he wants to be a proper bat ,his head is not steady while he is stroking the ball, he also seems short of time sometimes .
But time will tell ,how good he is.

This is where Babar is lacking. He was able to manage 9 an over without trying too hard but now that he tries to go at 11-12 he actually misses more often and keeps going at around 9 despite all the effort and fuss.

Exactly saw the same comments when Fakhar made his debut

If Asif can learn good off-spin, he would be a permanent fixture in our LOI sides.

More importantly Talat is a lefty as well, that left right combo is a big advantage

Ideally Babar should be out before the last 5 overs

If Asif fires then kisi ka baap nahi hara sakta iss team ko

Why is the advertising board so close to the boundary rope? It's dangerous for the fielder. Move it back a little there is plenty of room.

9 an over is honestly just fine even in T20s. Let the other batsman hit at 200.

Struggling to score 200 aga8nst this c grade team with 35 yard boundaries. Amazing. Yes this team will beat ind, sa, eng,etc..

Scored more than 200 against NZ in NZ as well and did beat Eng in Eng. Get some cricketing knowledge bro

Finally a player who is willing to hit the ball hard and high in the air!

rhony specifically while playing spin Talat look carbon copy of leaner Raina
