The way England are playing nowadays even a batsman of Root's class doesn't fit in.
 
Its criminal when you cant maintain a SR of even 100 while chasing 370

People underestimate Root on here, but he can up the ante. Babar unfortunately can't.

Rashid bowling will decide. This ENgland side may not win the world cup with this crappy bowling. They focused fully on loading the side with big hitters missing the fact bowlers win world cups not batsmen.
 
With these kind of innings from Imam especially and Babar as well to an extent I dont mind them booted out of the team even for the WC. Babar probably our best talent but talent is useless when you cant play for your team.

Dont know other teams who accept such nonsense as we did for Shehzad for a long period and now others.

Should always play for the team.

Jofra is untested, we dont even know if he can reverse it and Mo can be taken to the cleaners.

England do have a weakness in their bowling which could hurt them badly but it's their own fault trying picking bowlers who can bat, trying to bat the opposition out of the game, terrirble approach.
 
With wickets in hand 170 in last 20 overs isn't impossible. A good T20 game that.

Fielders are on the boundary. Nobody is stopping singles. Its easy to score runs. It is definitely criminal. Run rate is 9 an hour. The guy is going at 6 an over. (Strike rate 95)

I am talking about jofra here.players like woakes and willey plus morgan are against inducting jofra this early.This has been quoted by them in interviews.Even ed smith has said that they cant selecr jofra based on ipl performances.
 
People putting too much weight on Archer, haven't bowl his full quota of overs yet. I believe he will get smacked around against good batsmen... 4 overs and we made him look like a million bucks
 
When did Fakhtar become leg side player? remember bowlers stopped bowling him with on the off because he was so good. This is some transformation in his game.

Your confusing selfishness with ability. Imam doesn't have the ability to play Bairstow and Roy role. He can't play 360 degrees and adjust his position to hit 360 degrees.

Lol comparing Babar to imam is criminal, Babar can actually score fast and safely, he's just playing it safe. Imam can't play fast even if his life depended on it.
 
Babar still playing with a SR of 100 even with only one boundary.
That takes some strike rotation.
Some boundaries and he will be well above 100 SR.
 
We are going 7-8 runs every over easy right now without too many risks.. these two need to bat 12 more overs and one of them has to go to the end.. and this game can be won!

It's easier to bat like that. He edged the ball last time so probably made this adjustment

Pak have batted well so far . Imam and Babar have supported Fakhar well . Just feel 375 is to many runs .

Would have included Abid, but we all know realistically Shoaib Malik will play the next game.

Imam, Asif, Faheem and Yasir to be dropped.

M Hafeez, Malik, Amir and Junaid to be included.

I hope so. Innings required him to play at a much higher rate, if he can finish at much high SR than I dont have any problem.

You need to change your role and adapt according to the requirement.
 
Fakhar alone won't win this Waqar. Needs a team contribution.
 
Typically after 30 overs if you are 2 or possibly even 3 down you double your score....

PAK actually is favourite now. Normally, you triple scored after 20 or double after 30 gives you an idea of final total provided that wickets at hand, may be a little lower for chase. In both milestones, PAK is ahead an now one over and 1 wicket ahead at 30 overs mark. Should back them to win today, which will be be one of the best chases ever.
 
180 off the last 20 overs. With only 1 wicket down, we can play it like a T20.

I think I will back my instincts over stats and predict a win for England regardless. Every day of the week.
 
180 is the target in this T20 game.

Fakhar and Babar will open and Woakes will start the bowling

Who else can they drop?

Fakhar, Babar, Haris and Sarfraz are permanent starters.

2 players need to be dropped, either they drop Imam or go with 1 bowler less, which they wouldn't fancy after today's bowling performance.
