We should not invite anyone to pakistan and put their lives at risk. Misbah should take this as a farewell match.
 
Some petty politics coming in the way of what would be exciting cricket between India and Pakistan.

Younus may be incase he doesnt get to 10 K in this but why farewell match for either of them.

Because they are Pakistan's greats and deserve to retire in front of their fans at their home grounds, like the greats of other countries.

Why bangladesh?
 
Why do we consistently play Bangladesh every 2 or so years. We have nothing to gain against playing Tests with Bangladesh. Look at India. They don't want to do anything with Bangladesh when it comes to Test cricket. We should be looking to playing SA, England and Australia more often.

well beggers are not choosers.

we toured australia after 7 years , england after 6 years, nz after 5 years , gna tour westinidies after 6 years , south africa in 2019 after 6 years. So what choices do we have here?
 
We're playing Bangladesh away according to the FTP for 2 Tests, 3 ODIs and a T20 in July.

Looking forward to the rest of 2017 we were supposed to play 4 test matches against West Indies. Both team play exciting cricket Pakistan still looking for the first series win in WI.

Another thing I have noticed we hardly play South Africa our next tour is end of 2018 a long wait. Also did they not tour us , I think Pakistan should invite them.

7 ODI's against Australia in UAE! :stokes
 
Don't like this new system where a team has a Test tour of a country one year - then wait until the following year to play the LOIs !

For example, the 5 ODIs and 1 T20 v Australia in UAE in October 2018, then the 3 Tests in February 2019.

I've downloaded the FTP on my phone and I haven't read anything about a home series v Bangladesh.

We are scheduled a tour of Bangladesh in July with 2 Tests, 3 ODIs and 1 T20.

It's only Australia - and they do it for everyone, including England and India.

Thanks brother. I guess 2-3 years ago it said Feb 2017 but with BD not touring Pakistan and with PSL there might have been a change.

I guess now we are playing PSL during that time.

pretty much nothing except boring series here and there. playing against Zimb soon. then i think sri lanka is coming. then a long break and then some home series in UAE. i was very disappointed with upcoming pakistani calander

so we dont play SA for another 18 months. Its been a while since we last played them.

We only have the SL series. That's about it. Need to get the Deshis on board maybe have them visit UAE.

Bhai they have outright rejected playing in Pakistan, due to Indian pressure or otherwise. The alternate is we sit home for three months and let our rankings slide again. We need to cash on this momentum from the CT and play a series or two.

Who knows if we beat India in the final, they might want "revenge" and agree to a short Aane Do type series.

No cricket for 4 months for Pakistan!

I don't know if I will be able to go that long without watch Pakistan cricket team. But the boys do deserve a break after a breath taking performance in the CT!

Only Aus and NZ are 'open' during this time.

Perhaps we should look to arrange a series with them but it would be very difficult:

- Winter time in AUS/NZ
- Too hot to play in UAE

Neutral Venue, may be?

Where would a neutral venue be? Plenty on here, including myself, support using the UK for such endeavours.

The ICC has been particularly obsessed with playing cricket in the USA. Perhaps an LOI tri-series in the West Indies with Australia or NZ? You could slot the T20s into the USA and have no shortage of fans.
 
We are almost in July so it's only three months that is not long at all. Be patient, Allah will make it up to Pak fans, inshallah.
 
Best bet would be to invite BD to UAE and smash them into oblivion while we are in red hot form.

Playing is always good- in next 4 months IND will play 10 ODI against sub-standard sides & they'll use those for testing at least 5/6 new players/combination .........PAK'll practice at NCA & then in 4 months time Wahab'll again take the new ball/////

That was the dumbest decision ever - ideally, it should have been a 7 match series with some sort of revenue sharing model. Beneficiary to both teams financially & planning wise.

Enjoy the cup, we will enjoy watching our teams play cricket which we all love.

Pak need training camp to improve fitness ... good in a way.
 
Maybe we should play against Bangladesh especially the 4 month break is long. But also the Pakistan plays could potentially use a break after winning the Champions Trophy but playing against Bangladesh would be a great idea. Also would be good to see how Misbah and Younis replacements do and who are chosen to takeover their mantel

may be PCb have been told by government behind the door to cancel the series due to current situation

between the government

also najam sethi will take the charge in aug so this may work and we might see a series remember pcb

have not informed bcb officially about cancellation of series
 
We should have played against Bangladesh.

What have you done PCB, Also the series would have been good for youngsters and few debutants going forward in WC2019
 
Can Pakistan arrange the series in Gap?

Their is long break coming after that there are Srilanka and NZ series but can PCB fill this 3 month Gap:azhar2
 
It's their rest period...I don't think it's too long. Players need to spend time with family and rejuvenate themselves. PCB can use the last month of their break to put together some kind of camps for aspiring youngsters.
