Pakistan FTP (August 2014 to March 2023)

Pakistan Future Tours

I only see the following:

OCT-DEC 2017, Sri Lanka tour of Pakistan 2017,
Matches: 3 Test, 5 ODI and 2 T20

Anything else?

I would have liked Pakistan to tour Bangladesh but we don't have to play in this period , as much as I love Pakistan cricket. Players deserve a rest, no domestic cricket for a couple of months until the t20 domestic cup I think starting in Late august.

Should arrange a 3 match series ODI series with NZ in Uae in Early Sep like the AU's ODIs which we had in 2014 in Sep late starts and heavy dee still better than nothing

If we try we can do it there is no lack of sponsors in terms of advertising n coverage its just if PCB has the will & determination: sethi

Players need a rest and fans need a rest :))

The boys are on the road non-stop, they deserve this break with their families.

In the meantime, if people are desperate for cricket there's the England-South Africa series this summer.

pak tour to NZ january 2018 7 odis
pak tour to UK May 2018 2 tests
Asia cup 2018 june 2018
Pak tour to Zim august 2018 2 test

PCB refuse to play with BD, this is what you get looooong holiday :)

Rather a long holiday then playing a second rate side like Bang. No need for us to fill their pockets when they refused to tour Pak.

Which team will/should play against Pakistan within few months in a bilateral series?

Please share if you any information handy.

Thanks!

We are touring RSA twice in 2018 and 2020 or a typo?

We also have ODIs lined up in England against them before the World Cup. Our preparation for that tournament couldn't be better really with the team visiting England every year 3 years before it.

Don't forget the 5 ODIs before the start of the CWC.

Only fixtures till world cup are confirmed rest is a tentatice schedule.I doubt we get another 3 test series in Aus we are a disgrace when we visit there.

If westindies get 3 tests every cycle with mediocre team, we sure will be and inshallah win it

We can't predict what our form will be a year from now but should allow us to develop a settled middle order.

Looking forward to this run of games. Important we select the right batsmen to replace Misbah and Younis. These tours will certainly test our batsmen.

Am I right to believe Pakistan play 2 tests in england next year? Are these in May ? Will there be any ODI or t20 matches ?

Thanks

Pakistan plays 49 Tests between 2014-2018.

With 33 played from 2014 and 16 more to come till end of 2018 so it will make 49 Tests in 5 years with average of 10, and when you consider we did not play India.

Because series vs india añd bangladesh got cancelled as well

But compare to India, England or Australia we play less test matches even we count out matches against India and Bangladesh.

I am not sure when India play against England or Australia they play 5 matches but when we play against same opponents they are either 3 or max 5 matches, not sure why is that.

Because BCCI creates monetary pressure on other boards which PCB cant. indian team draws crowd to stadiums even in test matches and a lot of revenue from sponsors and tv ratings which again PCB cannot generate.

The Indian cricket team draws crowds to stadiums in test matches because they always play test matches in small towns that don't get a lot of cricket.

Lets play cricket in our small towns as well why to play only in urban areas only. This way we may control the security even better.

Pakistan's Next tour

Oh dear!!!! When we are going to play our next series.

Have you any Idea?:murali

please anyone post whats the next commitment for Team Pakistan

Does anyone know who Pakistan willbe playing? Just wondering! Thx folks

As of today, next commitment is towards family - for 12 more weeks. Next International match is in October, against SRL. In between, there could be some Faisal Bank T20 - other wise soul searching at NCA.

There's a boot camp scheduled for early August in Kakul.

Pakistan's next match

Really excited to watch Pakistan play again after the champions trophy but I can't seem to find any info about their next match? Is anything scheduled so far and when will we most likely be able to see them play and against what kind of opponent?

October 19 our series at "home" vs Sri Lanka starts. But I assume there will be t20 tournament next month domestically

Pakistan Home series against Srilanka Proposed Tour Iternory

This home season Pakistan Cricket board proposed Srilanka for 2 Tests 5 ODIs and 3 T20s opposed to orignially 3 Test matches were schedule for this tour with 5 ODIs and 2 T20s.

Pakistan is already playing less cricket and we are further deducting number of matches from the home series. Only one team scheduled to tour like last year WestIndies visited. By that means we will not have more then 5 weeks of Cricket in the month of October. I think Pakistan should either ask some other cricket board to tour UAE (Newzealand or Bangladesh)for home series or consider more then 2 test matches at least 3 or 4 for their home series against Sri lanka. Less home series means lesser amount for sponsership and advertisment and if we compare with other boards they schedule minimum 3-4 tours for every season.

After June 18th - No cricket yet for Pakistan?

My first ever thread after..Title says it all. When the team was in such high spirits, rather than playing a series or two all the players are chilling. Well playing in different leagues is different than playing as a team. I think the momentum was there for setting up the team but I won't be surprised if it takes time to again gain that momentum:mv..discuss your thoughts!!

Its a shame PCB haven't capitalised on the momentum of Pakistan winning an ICC tournament.

We need to blood two middle-order batsmen for the Test team after retirements of Younis and Misbah.

It was a mistake cancelling the Bangladesh tour without any replacement series.

Given the players never play at home they probably could do with this break to spend time with family and recharge their batteries.

4 months is just far too long and next series is again Sri Lanka which generally doesn't attract many viewers. Btw the Sri Lankas tour is not listed in cricinfo, it states our next game is in 2018 against NZ.

That is our punishment for putting over-rated and over-hyped teams like England, India and South Africa in their place.

Right.. so If no SL tour then our first game 'll be against NZ in NZ... That 'll be great against the seaming swinging ball.

We might be playing the Boxing Day test in South Africa this year, which will be great. Cannot wait to see Amir and Hassan bowl in South Africa and for Junaid to get another crack at it.

When are our next test series scheduled ? Abdullah719

2018 is going to be another tough tour. Will probably lose all 5 Tests in England and South Africa.

Our batsmen will find it tough in the early summer in England and Yasir will not be effective, so unless Amir brings back his 2010 self, we have very little chance of avoiding a whitewash.

As far as the series in SA is concerned, no explanation required; it will be a mauling.

We are not improving our ranking any time soon, and our current ranking is a fair reflection of where we stand as a team - mediocre in all three departments.

Expect you to get busy all of a sudden when we destroy all those teams in 2018

and if we win pitches will automatically become flat and eng will be missing key players stokes

I knew the current performances of our batsmen would wake you from your deep slumber. :))

We'll do very well in England, like always. Expecting our pacers to win us one test in England and at least one in South Africa.

The gap between Pakistan's Upcoming Test assignments....

1-Pakistan tour to England May 2 Tests
2-Pakistan tour to Zim August 2Tests
3-Pakistan vs NZ in UAE October 3 Tests
4-Pakistan tour to RSA Dec 3 Tests
5-Pak vs Aus in UAE March 2019 3 Tests...

Hardly any Cricket for Pakistan till Sep 2018....

Apart from Loi tour to NZ, Short tour to Eng and Ire, Short tour to Zim and Asis Cup in September, there are lot of gaps, even Zim playing more cricket than us, while India having big tours to RSa and Eng.

We're playing Zimbabwe and Australia in an ODI tri-series before our Test series in Zimbabwe next June.

Dec-Jan: NZ LOI tour
Feb-Mar: PSL
April-May: UK Test tour
Jun-Jul: Zim tour
Sept-Oct: Asia Cup

hayder ali: Can you please post the months of the year when these series will be happening? (In the OP of course)

I read the FTP, but things always change. In the FTP, Asia Cup is supposed to be in May/June (after IPL), but on the Asia cup site, it says it will be happening in September of 2018.
