I think overall there's nothing wrong with being hospitable. Of course, some of it may be a little overboard due to the rare and historic nature of the occasion, but there is nothing inherently wrong with treating your guests with respect and adulation.
However, when it transitions into this over-eager demand for approval and validation from them, it gets a bit much. PCB uploaded an interview between Shan Masood and Labuschagne on Youtube, and I couldn't finish the video, I had to stop halfway through.
Questions from Shan to Marnus went something like: "The food in Pakistan is really good isn't it?! And you're loving your time here right?!! And you'll go back and tell Australia and the world how amazing and safe Pakistan is right?? Right!?"
This is where you can start to lose a bit of dignity, but overall I don't think it's a huge problem.
