Pakistan going overboard with 'hospitality'? Would we get the same treatment in Australia?

Marnus has loved the Daal and Roti in Karachi.

I remember when the PSL was hosted in Khi in 2019. The players were staying at Movenpick Hotel and every day in a hall, the foreign players enjoyed home cooked biryani by the players or take out was ordered from the premier famous Pakistani street places like Burns Road, Tariq Road e.t.c.

The Pakistani journalists are taking their Australia counterparts to Boat Basin, Highway, Sea View e.t.c. I am enjoying how we are selling our soft image on the basis of food.

Why are active international players indulging in that kind of food while in the middle of a series/tournament?

Why not? They don't live in Pakistan, so are tourists as well and can enjoy local cuisine.

A few tasty biryanis won’t hurt surely?

And they will be running them off the day after?

Yes I believe these hard-core healthy diets are counter productive look at Kohli so much much is made off his fitness and diet plan and he seems to have hit the decline earlier then expected.

I don't recommend a diet of biryani ,nihari everyday but I think a normal clean diet with an indulgence here and there is the best as long as you are burning it off.

Cricket Australia (CA) is grateful to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for getting rid of rats at the hotel during their tour of Pakistan.

The incident was mentioned in a letter by CA to the PCB which detailed their experience of touring Pakistan.

“When we arrived at the Hotel in Karachi and there were numerous issues such as rats in rooms, abnormal odours and a range of issues that were unexpected. You [PCB] and your team quickly worked to correct the majority of these problems and within 48 hours we were satisfied that all changes made enabled a safe and comfortable stay,” the letter stated.

However, CA also thanked the PCB for taking great care of the Aussies during the tour.

“From the moment we arrived on the ground in Islamabad we were incredibly well looked after. Everything that had been promised was delivered to an amazing level of detail and thoroughness,” it added.

CA also hoped that the two nations will cross paths in the future as well.

“We truly look forward to dealing with you in future and are genuinely grateful for the outstanding role that you played as the logistics and operations manager for our tour,” the letter concluded.

Leaked information again.

If true, how embarrassing is this.

Wasim Khan in an interview:

“Australians fulfilled their commitments and stayed in Pakistan for two months. The feedback which came from ACB to ECB and New Zealand Cricket Board was very positive. Aussie players really enjoyed their time in Pakistan"

“I was extremely disappointed at that time, not only for me but also for the whole of Pakistan as Pakistan Cricket Board had put in a lot of hard work to arrange the tour. But after Australia’s tour of Pakistan earlier this year, both England and New Zealand have no reason not to go to Pakistan,” he said.

“White ball international cricket was happening in Pakistan, teams like West Indies and Zimbabwe toured Pakistan, but they were paid for those tours. Getting Test cricket back was the pinnacle [of achievements] for the country"
