Has anyone else had this issue were neighbours have started to excavate and build onto your land? Or relatives staying and not leaving your house in Pakistan. The system is a nightmare and they're all corrupt back stabbing vermin in Pakistan.

Many Pakistani politicians (including head of political parties) of Sindh and Punjab are behind land grabbing mafia.

This issue had stressed my parents out over the last decade and having seen first hand when I went to bury my mother in Azad Kashmir earlier this year, my heart sank. The general sliminess of the locals and especially the local goverment officials (patwaris etc.) just made my blood boil.

I cant testify to the Azad kashmir situation since I belong from there. People there are just waiting for the opportunity to grab whatever land you have. I beg my dad to just let go of the land we have there since I or my siblings could never imagine of living in a place where everybody is hungry for whatever you have.

Be a fighter my friend. Don't let it go if it's fruit farms.

The land is at too high of an altitude to be of any practical use and for most part of the winters its covered in snow. The main concern of my dad is that that place is our identity and everything but I cant see holding that land for too long on my own if the situation demands me to. The problem is that we shifted to Islamabad and become too out of touch with the people there, my dad although is insanely respected since he knows everyone and everything but you cant say the same for me.

The actual problem with land in Kashmir is that the documentation is very shady. There are no proper records and as long as you know the patwaris it's all well and good but if you dont then there are all sorts of problems that they can create.

I am born and bred in the UK and the recent trips to Pakistan have definitely made me more "street smart". There is a huge difference in the general level of decency and fair play between the British than with the Pakistanis. It just makes my blood boil with what they're doing to my parents property who are decent people having helped whoever whenever they could.
