Good to see some fresh pacers, but it is going to be a very rough ride for them on unforgiving pitches against unforgiving batsmen. They will probably go at over 4-5 runs per over and they should not be judged in Australia.

I also think Abbas’ honeymoon period is over. He was bog average in South Africa and against New Zealand in the UAE, and Australian pitches are not suited to his bowling. He could be in for a rough ride if the likes of Warner tuck into him.

Congratulations to Australia on inflicting yet another whitewash on Pakistan at home.

I've never been convinced by Abbas ever. Sure he has good line and length control but with every Pakistani player, after 1 year they get thoroughly exposed as opponents work them out. Started with Amir, then Hasan Ali and now Abbas.

His 80mph deliveries with good line and length works in the UAE and WI where pitches are hard for stroke makers but he'll be carted everywhere on SA and Aus pitches. He should only be played on seaming and low bounce tracks.

I would rather play Naseem Shah and get whitewashed with young players who could learn a great deal from a very tough tour.

The ease with which New Zealand negated him in the UAE right after he dominated Australia was very worrying, and he didn’t even appear threatening in South Africa. I think Australia and England’s reckless batting last year made him look better than he is.

He will be exposed soon

I was hoping beyon hope that Abbas wouldn't get picked for this tour. He has already been exposed. His performances in county and QeA were very poor this year as well. They should have taken Sameen in his place, who is actually suited to Australian conditions and is a lot more skilled and talented than Abbas.

Who cares if the over all experience of our pacers would have been 3 matches. When a team is in a position that Pakistan are in, some drastic changes are required. Your best must be picked, even if they have little experience.

Fawad should have been picked
Amer Yamin should have been picked

A 32 (original 35) to debut is rubbish . Why not a young leggi/ left arm spinner?
Two debutant Pacer in Australia is too much of heroics.

Misbah mentioned that Hasnain does not have the endurance to bowl long spells at the moment. Naseem has proven he can bowl a decent amount of overs in FC and is more complete as a bowler atm.

Can Misbah back that up with evidence? I find this squad Misbah playing to the gallery YET AGAIN (as he has done with fitness comments). When these teenagers fail, he will say something along the lines of doing what the fans/media asked for and what more did they expect?

I have really been disappointed in him as coach and selector.

He said that this was the conclusion the physios came to.

Hasnain has not played any FC matches this season.

I think we have all seen that he doesn't have it in him to play the longer format yet. He failed the fitness test beginning of this year as well. He doesn't swing or seam the ball. He also isn't very accurate. He just bowls gun barrel straight, and that doesn't work in tests. He also rins in his heels in his run up and his run up isn't consistent. All these things are quite visible from just a TV screen.

He has a lot of work to do.

happy with the team, but i wouldve kept shadab in the test team especially overseas. yasir doesnt inspire much confidence in SENA

The physios are not God and who were these physios and why were they testing Hasnain etc etc

I am surprised a 16 year old can apparently play test cricket but a 19/20 year old cant lol

His real age is not 16
Doc and rashid were discussing in their programme on youtube channel

He was 15 when Andy Roberts mentioned him in some article and that was back in Dec 2014 or 15 so he is around 19 at least. (Naseem)

It's quite evident that Hasnain isn't ready for test matches. He isn't very accurate, he's failed the fitness test recently. He's only played 2 FC matches in which he failed. His seam position is not good. And his ru-up needs a lot of work.

Naseem is a more complete bowler. It's not about the age, it's about skill. He bowls gun barrel straight, no movement. Naseem swings the ball at pace.

Not sure Pakistan can beat the A team Australia are putting out - Pucovski, Maddinson, Jhye Richardson etc.

Trust me you will see Rahat Ali very soon.

Misbah has selected 3 young pacers with no one to guide them / lead the pack. Abbas is a trundler and Imran is no way near a leader. The less said about Irfan the better.

In other words, the youngsters aren't setup for success on purpose. A tour of Australia is the toughest away tour for any team. When one of the young pacers will fail according to plan, we will need to induct Rahat Ali for more "experience".

If this was a tour to West Indies, Bangladesh or Sri Lanka, you wouldn't see these youngsters in the side.

As I called it when the squad for Australia was announced.

Naseem Shah dropped from squad for Sri Lanka series and Rahat Ali is being seriously considered for selection :))
