Babar is the only find in last one year.

Fakhar Zaman is not international standard. He only know one shot- horizontal bat off side slog. Now I know why have he been ignored by chief selectors for so long.

Kamran Akmal is the only player who plays with required strike rate. He only can fill Sharjeel's gap. However he's old and not a long term solution.

Ahmed Shehzad's lack of accelerating innings forces other to go for big hits and get out. He is a burden.

No matter what critics says, Malik is the most consistent player after Babar.

I believe its high time to look for other options and replace Fakhar, Shehzad and Kami. Who will they be?

Probably the only BD poster I like here.

Our problem is our domestic circuit: poor balls, poor pitches, poor coaching, players do not work on their mistakes after being dropped instead bash the same people and return. Kamran is an example of such a system.

I want Husain Talat to be called for intense training in NCA so that he replace Fakhar after CT.

Also consider Imam ul haq and 2-3 openers from domestic circuit.

Gotta agree with Hawkeye.

Either bring players who can play the modern game or be happy with respectable losses.

Shadab can't bail you out every time or on every pitch. Need some runs on the board on pattas.

Modern players like who? Kamran? We brought them before and guess what....we were still bad.

I mean look at the ACC under 23 tournament. We're still tuktuk every match.

Literally each of the batsmen mentioned by the OP are the problem

Imam ul Haq bats at a strike rate of 70

Did not watch the match but heard Talat did tuk tuk as well. Thats surprising coz he literally made me his fan by just one innings against Quetta. In order to hold that rhythm, he need help from NCA and coaches

The only guy who scored this series and scored fast is being hated by people like Pakpak. You get the idea of the mentality of the fans.

Haha" true.

You're correct about NCA but our coaches are third-rate as well. :)) Look at Umar Akmal or Hafeez. They get out the same way, then are dropped, come back and get out the exact same way.

BD is improving and the very good reason is the massive improvement in your domestic structure and coaching. Tamim for instance is unrecognizable from the batsman he was 7 years ago.

It will never happen since we do not give them the opportunity to perform.

The few that were given chances in the PSL like Fakhar and Talat did well.

He is 'hated' because he is a proven international failure. You're displaying the mentality of a teenager who likes 'fast' cricket. If we are into fast cricket lets fill our team with Afridis, Kamran, Nazirs again. All average the same and play very fast.

I seriously think inzaman and Mickey need to say it out loud. No batsmen will be selected who is not scoring at 90 in the season

Our performance in the ACC tournament doesn't fill me with hope either. All batsman scoring at 75. Then accelerating in the last few overs.

The solutions are so blindingly obvious. I am astounded how noone is implementing them.

Modern players such as Kamran, Malik, Hafeez & Sohail.

Awais zia, no matter how much of a hack, should play. You should be surprised by the performance in the Under23. They all have high averages from their domestic performance scoring at 70.

I think Pak mentality is terribly wrong. There is not pressure of qualification or ranking in T20, then why dint they line up 11 young players? They cud have tried Fakhar, Talat, Hammad, Raees, Usman all together and see who needs improvement and where.
Where did players like Mukhtar, Nouman go? You need atleast 3 hard hitting openers (like Sharjeel) and 2 defensive openers (like Babar).

Like how you're a sensible guy from BD proposing some great analysis. Great thread bro.

Anyway, as far as the question is concerned, I think it'll be Azam, Talat and maybe a hard hitter/slogger in the domestics.

He is 30 and rotting away while we keep trying 36 year old failures. I rated Inzi but he's proving to be as much a failure as his predecessors.

Wait 2 more series, our fans will be clamoring to bring Umar.

The reason all these failures line up these mickey mouse games is to cement their place. I don't know if you remember our last Zimbabwe tour, we should have sent in a young team but all these TTFs made the squad.

No body answered my question, "who will they be?" :p

Pakistan should build the odi batting team around these guys.
Sharjeel(if he is innocent)
Babar
Haris
Sarfraz
Umar(may be as an opener and move every1 one position down)
Malik/Talat
Shadab

Dont know about other young batsmen as i didnt watch the one day cups.
