Personally, I would replace Hussain Talat with Kamran Ghulam and play him at 5. I think he can justify the number 5 spot in the future.
Great comprehension. So you are saying he will play at that strike rate in every innings for the rest of his career based on that? There is a reason why they have something called average.
Because you have never offered explanation for his 116 strike rate for the tournament. Even against India just one innings where he has acceptable strike rate.Great comprehension.
One sec. Did you select Shoaib Malik?Farhan
Fakhar
Babar
Malik
H Nawaz
Azam
Rana
Shaheen
Abrar
Nawaz
Saim
He’s done well in domestic cricket, he can play spin well on these slow wickets and that innings against South Africa last year showed he has some potential.No. Just no, dude.
We need to move away from bits and pieces players. What in the universe has Kamran Ghulam ever accomplished?
Both him and Talat and players of their mold should be banned from cricket. They add no value whatsoever.
So u assumed I meant that he is going to strike at 150 in every game till he dies right. This is what happens when you have nothing better to do.Because you have never offered explanation for his 116 strike rate for the tournament. Even against India just one innings where he has acceptable strike rate.
I am not saying he is not the best. He is the best you have obviously. I am just saying your best is not close to top level openers going around. Rest are far worse than him. You are trying to build a modern unit with Farhan as your best bastman. This is no modern unit. This unit is way more unpredictable not in a good sense. They can just collapse like a deck of cards from any position. Proved a few times in this year alone. So u assumed I meant that he is going to strike at 150 in every game till he dies right. This is what happens when you have nothing better to do.
Career SR is a better predictor than analysis of one tournament played on very specific conditions. And as per career sr, over a large sample size, he has the highest SR in all of Pakistan (not just national team, I mean entire domestics ) for anyone averaging 30 or more.
He is the best we have at the moment. That's all. I'm not sure what your point is.
Then claim that the team is in transition, is preparing for the future, and needs 4-5 tournaments before they can start winning.Pakistan should recall Babar, Rizwan, Shadab and Naseem.
Rinse and repeat.
He’s done well in domestic cricket, he can play spin well on these slow wickets and that innings against South Africa last year showed he has some potential.
We need proper batsman who can defend and attack the right balls against the spinners in Sri Lanka. They are not flat pitches where you can keep going beserk. Every good team has a good spinner or two so we need someone who can play spin well in the middle.
I’m not saying he’s amazing and the only answer but he should be given a try and if he fails then try someone else.
I never said they are the solution, I said he can be tried because the tournament is happening in Sri Lanka where the ball will spin.Respectfully, but something is seriously wrong with you if you think Talat and Ghulam types are the solution to the woes that’s Pakistan cricket.
This is a good point. There has been a lot of debate that the middle order was kept suppressed by Babar and Rizwan and were given impossible situations to work with. However, twice, against India, the middle order has faltered from overs 10-20.It doesnt matter who bats where, if you lack common sense as a middle order batter, you will carry on messing up starts of 113/1 in 13 overs.
Pak middle order batters used to hide under Babar/Rizwan supposed slow starts, now the starts are improving but the middle order batters are still looking for excuses.
So, you can ask Gilchrist, Buttler and Kohli to open but with 'Saja, Maja and Saab' in the middle, the results will inevitably be the same.
Mohammad Wasim Jr. should be given a longer run before these youngsters. He is a very useful bowler and can contribute with the bat as well. Abbas Afridi can be another good option. We need some new bowling talent i would like to test both ali raza and obaid Shah we have seen the results of recycling the same rubbish.
Very useful info.I am not saying he is not the best. He is the best you have obviously. I am just saying your best is not close to top level openers going around.
