Pakistan is blessed with talent in every corner. We have so many contentors and performers that deserve to be in the team. The problem is the limit of XI players in the squad. We already have the bowling attack sorted out with the likes of Mohammed Amir, Hasan Ali, Shadab Khan, etc.

But what the problem is our batting line up has to be more DYNAMIC. With our current squad, we have batsman all the way to the 10th position. We have some dull undynamic batsmen in those 10 positions, ruining what could be a deep monstrous batting lineup. What are your thoughts on this? We really need a new opener and a couple new attacking middle order batsmen.

Amir Yamin, Sahibzada Farhan, Saad Ali, Hammad Azam, Harris Rauf, Harris Sohail, Rohail Nazir, and plenty more are in the bucket of potential future batsmen for Pakistan.

Fakhar , Babar , Harris , Sarfaraz , dynamic middle order , fahim ashraf , amir yamin , shadab , three fast bowlers.

This would be the lineup I play next odi series, it's dynamic enough I think:

1. Fakhar Zaman
2. Babar Azam
3. Haris Sohail
4. Malik
5. Sarfaraz
6. Faheem Ashraf
7. Shadab Khan
8. Imad Wasim
9. Amir
10. Hassan Ali
11. Usman Shenwari

12. Rumman Raees
13. Junaid Khan
14. Imam ul Haq
15. Umar Amin
16. Aamer Yamin

Dream XI would have been:

1) Sharjeel Khan
2) Fakhar Zaman
3) Babar Azam
4) Harris Sohail
5) Shoaib Malik
6) Sarfraz Ahmed
7) Fahim Ashraf/Imad Wasim
8) Shadab Khan
9) Hasan Ali
10) Mohammad Amir
11) Usman Khan

How?

Babar, MoHa, Malik, Sarfraz from 3-6; add to that Ahmed & Fakhar (he is a hitter within his arc, not dynamic batsman - can be restricted and choked to slogging which will result in downfall every time) at the top end and Imad at other end. And, this is before Azhar replaces one opener👍

MMHS I rate Sahibzada highly. He should be in the team, BTW Imam is also sluggish player....

Pakistan team needs Sharjeel Khan back and Farhan as openers with Zaman being in his original one down pos. . More players beinginducted will also help Babar Azam to improve his strike rate which is poor and playing against top 4 ranked teams his batting will get exposed. Sohaib Maqsood has disciplinary issues but can be a utility in the middle order alongwith Harris Sohail.

Arthur should place his hands like a namaste gesture infront of selfie Shehzad, Hafeez and Malik and request them for the sake of Pakistan cricket, plz leave Pakistan team alone for the foreseeable future.

One big problem is they have made Sarfraz Captain - which is exactly opposite to our problem with Mushi - both at opposite end in terms of batting and Captaincy (& matches keeping ball by ball),

That one spot is a permanent liability in PAK LO side, coupled with Babar who should be only one such player in XI - PAK might end up with 5 (Malik won’t be better outside Asia while MoHa, Azhar & Sarfraz are already there).

Farhan might be good, but needs at least few matches for A side, which doesn’t exist in PCB’s book. On top of that, if any such thing happens, Ul Haq will send Salman Butt & Shan Masood as opener.....

MMHS I think Farhan's solid chance is in PSL.

Going forward:

1) Fakhar Zaman - aggressive opener
2) Sahibzada Farhan - aggressive opener
3) Babar Azam - accumulator
4) Haris Sohail - accumulator
5) Sarfaraz Ahmed - accumulator
6) Shoaib Malik - power hitter
7) Faheem Ashraf - power hitter
8) Shadab Khan - power hitter
9) Hasan Ali - power hitter
10) Mohammad Amir - power hitter
11) Usman Khan / Rumman Raees

This lineup is DYNAMIC, and has great depth. Even Mohammad Amir can have a swing and hit sixes.

MMHS nz series will decide that where we are heading..i mean happy with 6th or 5th position or wann be in top 3.

With Azhar, MoHa, Malik, Sarfraz, Imad batting at 2, 4-7, won't happen that ever. Bowlers are plugging lots of holes, still it took significant chucking contribution to clean sweep this Lankan side - the day bowlers will fail, you'll see true colors.

Besides, being 9th-7th has lots of advantage in terms of ranking - after 4-1, both AUS, PAK remained at similar points; a 3-2 would have cost AUS some, 2-3 would have crashed them, 1-4 would have rocketed PAK on a jet pad. We made up 27 points in 8 months from that 5-0 (ZIM), WC wins, 3-0, 2-1 & 2-1. Once PAK is in top 5, that table turns upside - even a 4-1 against SRL will cost something.

You can mark this post - if people in charge are not careful, this 8-0 will cost PAK an almost certain WC SF spot in 20 months time.

I can’t see Imad Wasim leaving the squad as he’s a good hitter of the ball and a good bowler. Him, Faheem, Shadab can play continuously with no problems. Our lower order is sorted out. But middle and top order needs serious reform.

1. Imam/Farhan/Sharjeel
2. Fakhar/Harris
3. Babar
4. Malik/Rizwan
5. Sarfraz
6. Yamin
7. Imad
8. Faheem
9. Shadab
10. Hasan
11. Amir/Shinwari
