A good day tommorow and everything will be brushed under the carpet doctored pitches, cowardly tactics, pathetic spinners a motor mouth chairman.
Through the series we have been 2nd best and if we fluke a chase tommorow everything will be forgotten for Pakistan cricket future I hope we get folded tommorow.

If we win the match then it won't be a fluke, chasing 350 against this attack will not be easy, drawing 2nd test wasn't easy either. Yes, the tactics were wrong however, we have done something right if we do win tomorrow

If Pakistan chase down the score tomorrow, it will be a deserved win.

In the unlikely event we chase down the score we will completely deserve to win the series, especially after the heroic effort in the second test.

Pitches have not been great but actually, not as bad as some people are enjoying making them out to be. The first test pitch was atrocious but both Karachi and Lahore have produced competitive wickets and the bowlers have been creating chances throughout.

In terms of cowardly tactics, yes we should have scored at faster rates throughout the series but Australia haven't exactly been motoring along either, particularly in their first innings.

Our spinners haven't been great, I'll give you that much and the chairman is not relevant to whether we deserve to win the series or not.

No, I think that will be too harsh.
Yes, we dug holes for ourselves but we fought hard to crawl back out.

If Pak wins tomorrow, then the scope of room of improvement will be somewhat reduced. It will give a sense of reassurance that we are not as bad as we may think we are.

We will gladly continue to work towards improvement with more confidence, if we win tomorrow.

Yes if we win, we have done SOMETHING right, and we have had a few good days over the series. The problem is the thick tank will think they’ve done EVERYTHING right and continue on their merry way making ridiculous selections and devising poor tactics.

What matters is a win Deserving is neither here nor there

Pakistan have lost a lot of matches they "deserved" to win

In the end i ll take this series win tmrw whether theyve deserved it or not it doesnt matter

I like what the late Shane Warne said about this topic - that in a test match, the side that deserves to win will win. Unlike ODIs and T20s where 1 random over, or 2 random overs can swing a game which has been dominated by the opposition. So absolutely if we win, we will deserve it and no amount of moaning will change that fact.

Ok babar azam lose the match and series, because some fans think we dont deserve to win

A true fan will never want his team to lose - not matter what. You in my book are not a true fan - preferring optics, strategy choices, personnel changes to a series victory for your team.

No one pushed Australia to declare. They have done so because they think Pakistan will lose. Well let's see if they were right.

I hope Cummins won't be trolled if Australia lose this match. He gave chance to Pakistan to make a comeback in this match.

Australia declaration was not some charity.
Australia are heavy favourites but if Pakistan chase it, they will have deserved it every bit.

I know what the OP is saying, but Australia have jammied a lot of wins vs Pakistan over the years so I cannot want them to win.

With Fawad at 5 and Sajid at 7, I highly doubt a successful chase.

A few tweaks should be made for the next series.

I am still happy with the performance overall. Hope we give a fight tomorrow.

I hope Aus pull it off, Pakistan don't deserve to win this match or series.

AUs have come to play and have been the better team throughout the series and deserve to walk away victors.

You say that but only one team has been playing to win most of this series. Pakistan winning would be solely the by product of the Aussies being positive and trying to get a result, they could have easily batted another session and simply killed this Test and ended the series 0-0.

350 on these pitches is the equivalent of 200. Almost a given you'll score it.

+1

But who cares deserve or not. Aus made the extremely dull series alive on last day of series by sporting declaration. That's what matters otherwise you can solve your insomnia while watching Pakistan play. If Pakistan wins then Pakistan wins. It will be a good job by Pakistan to win.

I blame Misbah for the state of our cricket. He'll be the biggest culprit if Pakistan goes on to lose the test match and the series.

Yes they couldve batted on But they didnt Nobody held a gun to their head It was their choice

What matters 5 years, 10 years 15 years down the line is who won the series no one will know or care who deserved it

More like 'Australia don't deserve to lose this series'.

They are a better side on a paper and played like that this series. They have dominated 2 out of 3 games and that too at a venue where their players have zero experience of playing in. And most importantly, they played like they wanted to win. They could have easily plodded around for another hour today ensuring their safety and a lame 0-0 draw but they went for the kill. Interesting to see how it turns out tomorrow.

The only thing I want from Day 5 is an even contest and exciting finish! Whoever wins will deserve it - I don't understand why Pakistan won't deserve to win if they chase down the total.

It would be a smash and grab.

I just hope if they do win, it doesn't mean that the obvious weaknesses aren't ignored and we don't see such dead pitches as the norm.

If they win. They certainly do deserve it. You are forgetting that the team batting first has a huge advantage. Pakistan did brilliant to save the 2nd test and if they win the 3rd then we'll hats off to them.

I've read some real daft things on here but this is up there.

Australia are playing with Pakistans mental weakness here they know even 250-2 can become 300 all out with Pakistan by giving them some chance of a win it increases their chances of inducing a collapse.

By Pakistan having no chance to win it becomes easier to simply block out a few sessions this way an Australia win becomes more likely some collapse is guaranteed it depends how bad it is.

I didn't know that OP and that forever depressed Indian wanna be poster are one and the same person lol

What a silly thread and Indians are rubbing in as well, as if their team at home wins without using any hook and crook methods.

What a Ludacris idea is this, you win because someone puts it on a platter and you took it? You would think Aussies didn't ensure Pak is almost out of the game? Off course, it almost looked that way but now that our openers fought hard, it is suddenly some charity event ongoing...heck no, if we win, we deserved it!

Those weaknesses and other issues will be addressed in time, they don't just get fixed overnight...but real fans back their team to the tilt.

You can say that again, I have been a fan for ages and been on this site since day one...this post takes the cake and then some.

CA should only organize 2 test match series in Pakistan in future, there is no need to play three test matches and the FTP only requires two matches be played. Maybe do it when the IPL is on.

If Pakistan performed in Australia (3 draws) the way Aus have performed in Pakistan, then posters here would be saying that “we deserved to win the series in Aus”.

This series has been a disappointment, even if we win tomorrow it won’t feel like a victory for me. Scraping to a 1-0 series win at home vs Aus won’t be a well deserved victory. The only reason why we are in this position is because Australia were going for the win whereas Pakistan would be going for a draw. Australia made this series entertaining, Pakistan made it boring.

Pakistan is going against the sub-continent trend by even giving Australia a chance of a series win with 2.9 tests done out of 3.

Despite all the mediocrity and blunders i hope Pakistan win looks unlikely though
