Kamran Akmal's recent outburst was an example of where a player who is not happy prematurely goes to the media and whines about what happened instead of approaching the management first to discuss their issues.
Ironically, Mohammad Akram ended up spilling the beans that he would had been paid the same amount as any other players. Which meant that PSL teams do pay players that are directly made by the team owners and possibly doesnt come under the PSL pay process.
This isn't the first time when a player went to the media to present their case first.
We have the infamous Zulqarnain Haider case. Afridi whenever he had some issue.
We have even seen Sarfraz Ahmad post on social media from time to time his reservations on how he got treated.
Hasan Ali recently made very strong statements against a journalist infront of the media where he had mentioned that PCB can't do anything against you but we can by not answering your questions.
No matter who is right or wrong, what i find interesting is that more than half of these cases are always as such that their is no communication between to parties and most of these issues could be resolved if they are dealt with directly instead of going to the media to expose everything.
Why does this happen? Should an HR dept be made that cricketers can go to with any such issue?
