Fortune Barishal made direct signings of Shoaib Malik, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Amir, and Abbas Afridi.

Chittogram Challengers chose to retain Mohammad Haris and Mohammad Hasnain.

This is what Zaka said about leagues etc:

“Discussion revealed that the previous management had allowed a lot of players to play league cricket which caused them to fatigued ahead of their national duty. But going forward we have agreed to form a proactive approach to tackle players workload and give national duty a priority."

And Inzi in his presser:

Q: Is there anything being done to manage and monitor player workload?

IuH: I do not decide whether a player plays in white ball or red ball. That is the player’s choice and we respect that. However, we will be monitoring how much league cricket is being played by one player and what Pakistan’s commitments are at that time. In my opinion, for example, playing for two or three months in Sri Lanka can cause fatigue and can be detrimental for the player. We will be reviewing that as it falls under our work, but we cannot control whether a player plays red or white ball cricket.

And after today's draft:

Comilla Victorians

Mohammad Rizwan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Zaman Khan, Khushdil Shah and Naseem Shah.

Fortune Barishal

Shoaib Malik, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Amir and Abbas Afridi.

Rangpur Riders

Babar Azam and Ihsanullah

Khulna Tigers

Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Wasim Jr.

Chattogram Challengers

Mohammad Haris and Mohammad Hasnain

Durdanto Dhaka

Usman Qadir and Saim Ayub.

Clearly Comilla Victorians have saved money with one agent representing 5 similar background players

I find it a bit strange that a guy like Ihsanullah who is nowhere to be seen and has had fitness issues is signed up for this tournament.

I find it a bit strange that a guy like Ihsanullah who is nowhere to be seen and has had fitness issues is signed up for this tournament.
I think tournament is still quite a months away so he has ample time to get his fitness back.

There might be a conditional agreement in place by franchise regarding Ihsanullah's fitness.

Babar Azam should not play so many league .
Naseem Shah is injured then why he is chose to take part in this league ?

All the players who are playing for the national team in most of the matches shouldn't be allowed to participate in more than 1 or 2 foreign leagues to manage their workload.

Worlds so called best T20 players playing leagues like BPL, Canada T20 and LPL

Embarrassing

So Babar plays BPL, LPL, T10 cricket but doesn’t play BBL or CPL. I wonder why.

Our test series in Australia ends 7th January, we have to play 5 t20 in New Zealand after that.

Last year, PCB told the players to join the franchises in Pakistan a week before the start of PSL. PSL starts 7th February

Where does the BPL fit in?

Ismail Haider Mallick, Secretary of the BPL Governing Council, informed reporters at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium:

"They (IPL franchises) don't want to come or maybe there is no reason to come. They (IPL franchises) approached us many times. The board's decision was to run the tournament according to our country's style."

"We don't want to do something where the tournament's rights will not be in our hands and will go to someone else."

"There was a question about surrogate betting companies and for these reasons we don't take the risk. If outside sponsor is not a corporate entity then going to an agency our experience is not that good. Last year we could have earned 10 Crores more from media rights but we didn't because we shut down betting sites."

"The whole world is going through an economic stagnation. Apart from IPL and India's cricket board, I also used Big Bash as example. Shujon bhai goes to ICC and talks to every board's CEO. We know how much everyone earns and what is being told to the media. It's a difficult thing to do a T20 tournament [in this climate]. Not only T20 tournament, most of the national teams allow surrogates. Apart from one or two most are accepting it, even India."

"Whether we will go for revenue sharing is a matter for the BCB and the board gives us a guideline and we follow that in running the tournament. In the first year, we had a system of revenue sharing but it wasn't effective for us as there were many irregularities, players were not getting paid."

"Even in the second BPL there were lots of issues with players' payment and we had to go for arbitration and we had to solve them by sitting with the players and franchises. So our experience was not good in the first two years. If franchise fee was 15 Crores then board wouldn't have a problem with revenue sharing."

"To run the tournament sustainably we have to keep in mind the financial and economic condition we are in."

Durdanto Dhaka vs Comilla Victorians

DRD 147/5 (19.3 ov)

COV 143/6 (20 ov)

Durdanto Dhaka won by 5 wickets

Usman Qadir, playing for Durdanto Dhaka, went wicketless with figures of 0/28 in 4 overs. On the other hand, Khushdil Shah, representing Comilla Victorians, faced a setback as he was dismissed for 13 runs in just 5 balls.

It appears to me that Pakistani players are flopping across different stages and leagues this year so far

Fortune Barishal vs Rangpur Riders, 3rd match of this year's BPL is going on atm.

1st inning is done as Rangpur Riders scored 134/9 in their 20 overs.

BPL pitches need to be better. Far too many low-scoring games.

T20 should be played on flat surfaces.

The batting line-up of Sylhet Strikers could not take off today and have set a target of 121 for Rangpur Riders to chase in 20 overs.

Looks like it will an easy chase for Babar Azam's franchise.

Personally I would like to see more of our players play BBL, The Blast or the Hundred ahead of any other league alongside PSL to get better exposure to Aus conditions and English conditions even if they pay less compared to a few of the other leagues to make them better all round cricketers.

So Babar not playing ILT20 the la liga of cricket but participating in Scottish league of cricket

honestly among every league i have watched, BPL seems to have least quality. They all look amateur, no one seems to be serious, crowds are clownish, players look uninterested, teams keep changing, overall a laughable league.

Probably should have been out 3 times

10 of his 15 runs came against a useless left arm spinner called Sunny
