For SL: Traveen Mathew, Milan Rathnayake, Pramod Madushan, Sahan Arachchige.

Disappointing tournament for Jishan. Habib seems decent, but is a zero IQ player. Real Rising star for BD this tournament is this Abur Gaffar Saqlain guy, I have no idea who is, but he was really good this tournament. He was great with the ball throughout tournament, and could've won in the end with the bat as well.

Habibur scored well against Hong Kong and India. Even today he gave a great start. I think he should be in the national team.

I think Habibur should be selected for 2026 World T20.

Akbar Ali should be selected too. He should be the captain in the long run.

Shahid Aziz has bowled well in death during the whole tournament, thats the reason he got the last overs.

Plus spinners in the death is always risky.

Sorry, in a low scoring game, the captaincy matters and pakistan won the semi and finals due to captaincy

Also people are blaming Shahid Aziz but at this level at this hour of the game the lengths of the deliveries is decided by the captain by field settings

If the third man and fing leg were up, the bowler is not going to bowl the length balls.

I think the original plan was to bowl up, for the last two overs. They were smart and changed the plan when it did not work. This should be appreciated.

Shahid Aziz is being criticized for missing the target on Yorkers, which is fine. But it was the team's plan (field setting).

Yes, but problem is that he has zero IQ. After scoring 15 runs in the over, there was no need for him to go for another glory shot.

I liked Doha's cricket ground. Great venue.

I also loved 2022 FIFA World Cup (hosted in Qatar).

Qatar should host more cricket events. Great alternative to UAE.

Pakistan Shaheens clinched the Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 title with a nail-biting Super Over victory against Bangladesh ‘A’ at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha on Sunday night. Both sides had finished level on 125 runs in their 20 overs, forcing the contest into a tie-breaker.

This triumph marked Pakistan’s third championship in the Asian Cricket Council’s development event for ‘A’ teams, with skipper Muhammad Irfan Khan joining Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Haris in the roll of honour. The Shaheens remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, overcoming Oman, India ‘A’, UAE, and Sri Lanka ‘A’ en route to the final.

In the Super Over, Pakistan required seven runs to win. Saad Masood delivered under pressure, striking a boundary off Ripon Mondol and adding crucial singles to seal victory in just four balls. Earlier, Bangladesh ‘A’ had faltered in their own Super Over attempt, facing only three deliveries as Ahmed Daniyal claimed two wickets around a five-run wide.

Bangladesh’s chase of 125 had been turbulent. Reduced to 53-7 inside 11 overs, they were revived by a 37-run stand between SM Meherob (19) and Rakibul Hasan (24). Daniyal dismissed Rakibul in the 18th over, leaving Bangladesh needing 30 off 16 balls. Abdul Gaffar Saqlain (16*) and Mondol (11*) fought back with three sixes in the penultimate over, narrowing the equation to seven off the last. Daniyal held his nerve, conceding only leg-byes off the final two balls to push the game into a Super Over.

Pakistan’s spinners had earlier dismantled Bangladesh’s batting. Sufyan Moqim (3-11), Arafat Minhas (2-5), Maaz Sadaqat (1-7), and Saad Masood (1-33) combined to choke the middle order after a brisk start. Daniyal’s miserly spell of 2-11 further tightened the screws.

Batting first, Pakistan had struggled for momentum, slipping to 25-3. Player of the tournament Maaz Sadaqat contributed a brisk 23, while Arafat Minhas added 25. Saad Masood then played a decisive hand, smashing 38 off 26 balls with three fours and three sixes, building a 41-run stand with Shahid Aziz. Despite late wickets, Pakistan managed 125, thanks to Sufyan’s boundary in the final over.

Pakistan should have won more comfortably, there should not have been a super over

But it wasnt just the last 2 overs he got smashed throw out his 4 over spell.

Congratulations Shaheens.....

Both teams played well as the match was decided in super over. At present these 2 teams playing good cricket and on a momentum.....

Whether cricket boards of both countries will show guts to play these teams in upcoming ICC T20 world cup instead of their senior counterparts?

Maaz, Saad & Arafat seem like the 3 key pieces for the future. Sufiyan too. He was incredible but rating the other three a bit more as they're multi facet and help you in all three parts of the game.

Ubaid was a massive disappointment and seems like he needs extensive time in domestic to clean up his bowling action and find a way to be more consistent. Even in his FC career he's going at 4+ runs per over so clearly there is a lack of discipline bowling to contain & limit runs.

Shahid Aziz was another disappointment. No chance he makes it to the international level on his bowling skill alone. He needs to significantly improve his batting skill and look like a legitimate pace allrounder to have a chance.

Irfan had to be the biggest disappointment of them all. He's played a bit at the international level too but just look terrible. Anytime the team was collapsing, you would think with his experience he would be that stable option in the middle over to prevent the collapse but he was always part of the collapse. Awful captain too and in both knockout matches, he brought in pacers too early when its a spinners wicket and the only reason they were in the game was because of the spinners.

It's really nice to see there is a lot more all-round options coming up after a long time of just having Shadab/Nawaz/Imad. That's the big takeaway for me and it's a big positive IMO.

Junaid Khan points out weaknesses in Pak A despite their winning last night

Our old cricketers are part of the problem & not the solution. This criticism is not valid as it's directly naming people & shattering their confidence. It's worse because he was/is part of the Pak women cricket setup & will take it personally if someone named him as the reason of failure in women world cup.

But we have to admit we have seen worst umpiring in the decade in this Asia emerging cup...... no third umpire. Its affected Indian team badly. Has Naqvi planned this to retrieve cricket in Pakistan

Maaz looks ready to play for Pakistan in this format.

As does Habibul for Bangladesh

Tournaments like these are pointless unless they count towards national selection

It feels like Indian Test team is held hostage in India just like Sri Lanka in Pakistan.

They don't have any other option because they will not win any ICC/ ACC event's in near future. They can only win hongkong sixes and rising tournaments .

:klopp :kp

PCB can't dream of winning any ICC trophy/ tournament in next 75 years, that's why Naqvi planning such tournaments without 3rd umpire. Their main object to please Pakistani ppls who still in shock 3 super Sundays Asia cup
