The action is underway in Darwin as Muhammad Irfan Khan leads the Shaheens against Bangladesh ‘A’ in the opening clash of the Top End T20 Series at TIO Stadium.

Eyes on the young guns as they look to make a strong statement in Australia.

This Pakistan XI on paper looks stronger and more in balance as compared to any XI with Babar and Rizwan in the side.

Samad has a brutal game against spin, but equally bad against pace. Keeping him around for an Asif Ali kind-of role wouldn't be such a bad thing. Has more of a power game compared to Khushdil.

These are next generation BD players who are more talented than Saffer and Indian players according to @BDfanforever . So, dominating them at 11 RPO is a good sign for the Shaheens.

Ubaid, shahid aziz, wasim jr, faisal, Saad Masood... this is a pretty good solid bowling unit... Should defend the target easily.

This is a strong Pakistan B team

I like it. Hesson and Aqib creating depth in resources!

Khich ke rakho PCB!

2nd wicket down for Bangladesh. Jisan Alam should have stayed in the crease. I was rooting for him to be selected in the national team. He is a former national player Jahangir Badsha's son.

Mahfuzur Rahman Rabby from the great 2024 under 19 batch.

13 RPO with ball. 30 strike with the bat.

Next superstar allrounder , I was told.

This is the first time I watched Shahid Aziz bowling.I think he is over hyped. He is nothing special.Akif Javel is a much better bower. He is tall and gets a lot of bounce. He is quick. In BPL he was bowling 145-148.People may question accuracy of speed guns used in BPL but he did look quick.Ubaid has good action and good pace.He is not finished product but a good prospect.

At least these guys are playing some competitive teams here, compared to the absolute and expensive waste of time in England. That tour will go down as one of the biggest waste of time ever

Shahid Aziz is an allrounder, not just a bowler. Pakistan pace all-round stocks have been extremely low for a long time. Invest in anyone that even has half a chance to become something decent.

But if he a genuine all rounder or a bits and pieces all rounder.

Too early to say but that's what development is for and that is what this tour is for.

Mostly popped up in domestic last season and had a great year and some good skills in both batting & bowling department. Big year coming up for him in domestic to repeat and improve upon his last year.
