Pakistan should be wary of Indian spinners

I like playing the Devils Advocate and I think Pakistan should watch out for them.

I can see their performance against Hong Kong leaves us happy but the point remains Hong Kong played the spinners wisely by not overly attacking them and just rotating strike (something which I am afraid we are poor at).

And that 174 run partnership was brilliant today for Hong Kong. But lets be honest. Hong Kong were never in danger of winning until they were at least 50 away.

Not sure we can have the same luxury under intense pressure which Hong Kong lacked.

I predict a narrow Pak win provided we play the spinners sensibly.

Yes we need to be wary of them. We have had issues against leg spin in the past.

I noticed they were bowling pretty slow yesterday which combined with the slowness of the wicket allowed the batsmen alot of time to read their variations and adjust accordingly. Even towards the end of the Hong Kong innings when they were picking up wickets, the Hong Kong batsmen didn't seem to have trouble smacking them around for boundaries. So while we should be vary of them they are not that difficult to negate.

Kuldeep and Chahal are slow through the air and rely on a bit of bounce, or ‘zip’. UAE negates them to a certain extent, but they are quality spinners and should adjust in the coming games.

Agreed! I think they are the biggest obstacle for Pakistan . . Plus, Pakistan hasn't faced kuldeep . . so India would be banking on them to take them through . . if Pakistan negate them (5 an over plsu and not giev more than 2 wickets to the twin pair), i think big advantage to Pak

I think Pakistan would be fine against Kuldeep, mystery spinners generally don't work against Pakistan but their problem would be Chahal. Even Laxman Sivaramakrishnan took 8 wkts against Pakistan in 4 games

They outdid us in everything today need to bounce back for the super four games. Even Bangladesh and Afghanistan are tough opponents.
